Glad to hear it is working again :) To clarify, I don't actually have any meaningful access to the server in a technical sense, this is all the Matrix side of things and my guess on what might have been the issue was just that a guess, e.g. if they were possibly testing things with the new patch. Off hand I don't really know if they were or it had any effect on what you were experiencing, but since this is the only report of possible issues, my other other thought is that perhaps it is a connection issue on your end. I just suggest that as usually the only change they might make to the PBEM++ server when testing a new patch is to change the client connection number/value, e.g. the message you'll see when you are playing with the wrong version requiring you to upgrade to the latest patch, but with the error messages you reported, it would on second thought, be more likely a general connection issue more than anything else. If this is possibly the case, what I would suggest is perhaps trying to save your turns in progress every once in a while to the PBEM++ server so that your moves are not lost when you then click on End Turn, e.g. worst case some of your last moves will have been saved and therefore recoverable.
