This Man Declared Victory Over A Freight Train Hurtling Toward Him. You'll Never Guess What Happened Next.

quote:

Faith-filled man Darrell Meads has a powerful anointing.

On Friday, he decided to showcase that anointing in an INCREDIBLE way.

Meads made up his mind to stand in the middle of some train tracks as an unstoppable freight train came barreling toward him, so he could declare VICTORY over it in the name of Jesus, rebuking the locomotive and causing it to come to a sudden and complete stop, shocking everyone and proving that he is indeed a chosen vessel of the Lord, able to perform supernatural feats at will.

Guess what—Meads stood in the middle of those tracks, just like he said he would. And with a powerful voice, he declared victory over that train. You will NEVER guess what happened next…

He died, unfortunately.

R.I.P. Darrell.

Not really funny - the guy was obviously looney tunes about his divinity connection. Another one for the Darwin awards though ...

Just so you know, Babylon Bee is all satire. [8D]

What is the difference between a criminal and a politician?

One has been caught, the other hasn't.

The results are in. Laughter makes patients laugh 3 times as hard as a placebo.

Four people board a train and go into the same room. An old woman, a gorgeous young lady, a Russian officer and a French Officer. After a while the train enters a long tunnel and the room goes dark. There is a loud kissing sound and then an even louder slap.

The old woman thought the young lady had fine standards...waiting till it's dark and then only with an officer and a gentleman.
The young lady was frustrated. She'd been trying to get the Russian officer to notice her and he kisses the old woman!
The Russian officer was silently cursing all Frenchman as he gets slapped when the French officer steals a kiss.

The French officer thought PERFECT! I kiss the back of my hand, slap the Russian officer, and get away with it!

geofflambert -> RE: Laughter is a good medicine (7/2/2020 10:53:15 AM)

I was worried that was going to come out with the French officer kissing the Russian, but you never know with those Russians.

Of course the story is sexist since it wasn't specified what the sex was of either officer, we just assume they were guys. But with some of those Russians, it really wouldn't matter.

An oldie....

A Canadian (insert any nationality here) is flying a plane beside a Brit talking politics.

The question centers on the type of Nation.

The Brit exclaims that the United Kingdom is a Monarchy and the Canadian does not understand.

"See here chap - England is ruled by Queen Elizabeth - our Monarch - therefore we have a Monarchy.

Similarly Monaco is ruled by a Prince Albert II - there for Monaco is a Principality"

The Canadian suddenly exclaims :

" Ohhh I get it now. That why they call Canada a Country"

Laughter decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies, thus improving your resistance to disease. Laughter triggers the release of endorphins, the body's natural feel-good chemicals. Endorphins promote an overall sense of well-being and can even temporarily relieve pain.

And in Canadian News, the Tittle Bridge in Nova Scotia has collapsed. Rumour has it that they did not use enough underwire nor a "cross your heart" form of engineering for it ...

Father to son talk sometime after the year 2020.

Father: "Virtual schooling? I remember back when I was your age, having to walk to the bus stop to go to a real school... Uphill. Both ways. And after school, I'd have to ride the bus back to the stop and walk all the way back home! And without a mask to protect me from the COVID." [:@]

Son: "Did you see a bear?" [&:]

Father: "Yes I did. We went to the zoo for a field trip when I was in third grade. We were all on a bus and had to sit side-by-side each other - we couldn't even maintain our 2 meters of separation... And we didn't wear a mask back then either!"

Son: "Wow dad - you Boomers had it bad back then."

Father: "Yes we did, son. It's probably a miracle your mother and I are still alive..."

It didn't collapse - it just sagged, as things do when they get older...

The bridge was overloaded. It collapsed.

Those were good times - lol. Never got tired of firing live ammo; it beats the snot out of using the MILES equipment. :-)

Of course, picking up all that brass is a pain - but man! We had 548 Cargo Carriers back when I was in - the 50 was on a ring mount right over the cab. It didn't take long to fill the cab with brass. Dancing with a 50 was fun.

Thanks for jogging the old memory. [:)]

Looks like Star Trek is getting a new, humorous cartoon show "Lower Decks". Should be a hoot!
