The game does not start but it is present in the task list

Can you provide a dxdiag? Thanks

Erik Rutins -> RE: Issues getting game to run (3/25/2021 5:39:43 PM)

Please try Ending all running WITE2 applications through your task manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del). Then can you please try temporarily turning off any anti-virus/security software completely to see if it could be interfering with the launch of the executable? Given these multiple applications reported I'm concerned something else is intercepting them and preventing them from launching.

ObeseMonkey -> RE: Issues getting game to run (3/25/2021 5:43:06 PM)

Tried turing off Windows defender, and have been ending tasks before launching again. No luck I'm afraid

Erik Rutins -> RE: Issues getting game to run (3/25/2021 5:44:34 PM)

Just one other thought, we're seeing some dual gpus - do you have any way to try on just one GPU and see if that makes a difference?

dudefan -> RE: Issues getting game to run (3/25/2021 5:46:30 PM)

tried deactivating avast...no luck

I dont think so, at least fiddling around I can't find a way too.

Edit: I disabled the Nvidia driver(?) in the device manager and made no difference.

dudefan -> RE: Issues getting game to run (3/25/2021 5:58:12 PM)

no you need to do it the other way around

From NVIDIA Control Panel select 3D Settings then select Manage 3D Settings in the tab Preferred Graphics Processor, select High performance NVidia processor. Select Okay to apply changes. Reboot and computer and then try playing the game and see if this works for you.

Believe me, we really want to get this working for you too!

VPaulus -> RE: Issues getting game to run (3/25/2021 6:02:04 PM)

@dudefan
Please try to disable all background programs in case these are interfering with the normal running of the game.

You can do this by running msconfig and disabling all non-windows start-up programs and services.
Then once you have disabled all non-Microsoft services, please run the game and see if the issue persists.

If it does not, please then reopen msconfig and reenable those services, one by one, until you find the program causing the problem.

A tutorial on how to do this can be found below:

Oh its already set as that, but Ill try a restart anyway. Should I try using integrated?

zakblood -> RE: Issues getting game to run (3/25/2021 6:05:15 PM)

no and pc needs to be rebooted after a change for it to work on most pc's

Ok, please if at all possible can you try reactivating them to let us know which one was the problem? This could be very helpful to figure out what might be causing this issue for others.

dudefan -> RE: Issues getting game to run (3/25/2021 6:15:03 PM)

i think i identified it. it is nahimic sound apllication (NAHIMIC 2)

VPaulus -> RE: Issues getting game to run (3/25/2021 6:16:23 PM)

It's an application installed by MSI. It usually mess with a lot of games.

Erik Rutins -> RE: Issues getting game to run (3/25/2021 6:16:39 PM)

I haven't heard of that, I'll search for information but do you know anything about what it is and why you have it installed?

Aha, thanks Paulo!

dudefan -> RE: Issues getting game to run (3/25/2021 6:23:02 PM)

It is definitely nahimic. It is an msi audio software. Thank you for your help. I will be on the battlefield now. Good night and good luck

ObeseMonkey -> RE: Issues getting game to run (3/25/2021 6:23:55 PM)

Does anyone know if I even need Nahimic on at all?

Thanks for all the help BTW!

zakblood -> RE: Issues getting game to run (3/25/2021 6:29:35 PM)

no you don't

it offers richer deeper 3d sound on the 1 in a million games which supports it.

as far as i can find, it's a driver for a realtek audio chip, so uninstalling and reinstalling the latest windows 10 version of realtek audio windows 10 drivers should work

but saying that, you also would need to unload the console as well as the drivers, as the console from what i'm reading auto updates the drivers once removed, so if you don't remove the console, once you use the MSI update tool or windows upgrade update tool, the drivers will autoload on there own[:(]

Erik Rutins -> RE: Issues getting game to run (3/25/2021 6:30:10 PM)

Unfortunately I don't know - from a quick read through I would expect it's not necessary but rather offers some optional additional features. However, if you can disable it while running WITE2 that is clearly a good idea.

ObeseMonkey -> RE: Issues getting game to run (3/25/2021 6:34:20 PM)

Cool. I’ll leave it off for now. Thanks again for the help!

VPaulus -> RE: Issues getting game to run (3/25/2021 6:37:58 PM)

No, you don't need it.
