I am putting all these subs in the same port, let's say La Rochelle.

I have my stack of 5 subs ready. And I go to the next turn.

I select three subs and move them somewhere by doing one right click.

But, BEFORE they arrive at destination, I am doing one more right click and the two remaining subs will move to the same destination.

Better but we are not totally there yet. I am doing the same above reproduction method and I have now 4 subs in a stack.
