T13 Trucks:

This is about average for what I have been seeing lately.

T13 Supply Net North:

That last lunge from the 2nd and 3rd PGs made some long distances to truck the supplies from. I also moved up the new panzer divisions to Pskov (well one of them the other and the HQ are further away) so the rail lines were heavily used last turn.

carlkay58 -> RE: Another March to the East (5/31/2021 9:33:57 PM)

T13 Supply Net South:

The supply lines here are just as long as the north. This is the reason that the freight picture was bad. I am outstripping the supply capacity because I used a lot of supplies last turn on my offensives.

T13 Air Phase:

Luftflotte 1 is having problems flying Recon directives - only two of the four actually flew this turn. The weather is raining so that may be the problem.

T13 AGS 11th Army:

I start with the 11th Army this turn along with the XIV Mot Corps to start forcing my way into the Crimea and into the Dnepr River bend. The attack reaches Armyansk at the very western edge of the Crimea entrance.

T13 AGS 1st PG:

With the XIV Mot Corps detached to help the 11th Army conquer the Crimea, the rest of the PG concentrates its efforts into the Dnepr River bend reaching Denpropetrovsk and actually gaining a bridgehead over the river south of the city.

T13 AGS Rail:

The Rumanian FBD reaches Odessa this turn and will be disbanded next turn. Just in time! It will release the four Rum Rail Bdes to 3rd Rumanian Army HQ for distribution next turn. The 1st PG FBD repairs past Aleksandryia with a slight detour to put Kirovograd's level 2 railyard on the rail net too.

carlkay58 -> RE: Another March to the East (5/31/2021 9:40:40 PM)

T13 AGC Rail:

3rd PG FBD completes the rail west to Zilupe and then goes south to Kraslava to work on the double rail from Daugavpils to Polotsk. 2nd PG FBD works south to Pochinok and then heads east towards Yelnya.

T13 AGN Rail:

The 4th PG FBD works back to the west reaching Rakvere this turn. Depots are created at the Oil Production sites of Narva and Sonda. Every little bit of oil production helps the Axis.

carlkay58 -> RE: Another March to the East (5/31/2021 9:41:21 PM)

T13 Soviet Garrison:

The Soviet Garrison is now at 126% and you can see the lower amount of partisan activity in the Minsk to Smolensk area. This helps freight move much easier and faster to the front.

I am having this same trouble had to reduce half 9th Armee to regiments just cover the line, there just does not seem enough troops to go round.

carlkay58 -> RE: Another March to the East (6/1/2021 12:17:59 PM)

No the Axis did not have sufficient men to cover the entire front properly. This is part of what caused the Winter Problems for the Axis as they were too spread out and the Soviets were able to mass their troops in strength.

loki100 -> RE: Another March to the East (6/1/2021 1:09:22 PM)

do also think its a bit of an AI issue. Most human Soviet players are very saliant-averse, to the point (I think) where they cede ground too easily. That in turn keeps the front line relatively linear with less demand for German breakdowns.

at 110+, the AI is pretty casual on this point and will hold onto quite deep salients?

carlkay58 -> RE: Another March to the East (6/1/2021 1:35:09 PM)

I think Loki may be on to something there. If you look at the AGN/AGC Valdai Hills area most Human Soviet players would be pulling back there but the AI is willing to keep the salient going.

tm1 -> RE: Another March to the East (6/4/2021 12:03:56 PM)

Hi
Just wondering if you could have look at this screen shot on air doctrine.

This what you had initially had for one of your games from a previous AAR.

You then got some feed back by another player that is was not producing good positive results.

So you modified it however I stayed with your original format for number of reasons.

1. I don't have " fog of war " on because I am playing the AI and don't feel the need for a extra challenge so recon is a low priority.

2. Once again I will always leave the AI to control my Airforce, rather let it handle that I have enough trouble working out the ground forces.

So I was hoping you kind enough to look at this and show what I could do improve ground support for my ground battles if there is better format.

I also seem to be losing a hell of a lot of transport planes around Leningrad so I need to put a stop to that to if possible.

carlkay58 -> RE: Another March to the East (6/4/2021 6:01:53 PM)

Recon should be Mission AC Pct 100 now (as recommended by another player) and Escort AC Pct 0.

The only real effect Doctrines have on Ground Support is thorugh the Mission AC Pct (as well as altitude but 9000 is a good compromise). So you could raise the Mission AC Pct higher to get more bombers involved. You could do the same with Escort AC Pct but that would only increase the escorts without affecting the actual bombing. I believe that the highest you can go is 300% for each of these ratings. I know that Tyrone had a way that was generating over 1000 bombers each GS Mission for the Soviets but that was with massive micromanagement and much of that has since been nerfed - also the Axis do not have the 1000+ bombers to perform the missions.

I have no idea as to how to change anything at all with the transports. I don't know if they key off a Doctrine or whether they just have a default one.

if you are using the AI-assist key is which command they are hooked to. Try to make this a second echelon formation and then they will tend to target airbases behind the front, it you pick a front line formation you risk losses

but .. both sides tend to have more transport aircraft than transport airgroups so maybe not such a huge issue

M60A3TTS -> RE: Another March to the East (6/5/2021 10:24:59 AM)

This game appears to be bugged. I looked at what the Soviet AI is doing. The Soviet Southern Front has nothing assigned to it and all of what should be assigned to it instead is assigned to the Stavka.
