South I clear out the Kovel area of Soviets which retreat to the east marked in light blue. I clear out the tank and mech divisions which retreat to the north marked in blue. I surround the Brody area south of Rovno and beef up my regiments with SU's for a possible Soviet Counter Attack. Could have other problems next turn but that is fine. I love Soviets staying close :) I am converting two dual track lines one from Brest-Litovsk & the other going through Lvov marked with orange arrow. I do not release the Southern Front. Yes, Jubjub those are Regiments out there for Soviet pickings ;-) I am sure some people are curious how I got the units to route from the Rovno area to the North on the blue arrow ;-) It isn't that hard at all. At least it puts them out of the way for a bit Not enough MP on the first turn to do anything without getting units caught :( If you're going for the oil, I'd highly recommend getting across the Kerch straight in 1941. It's basically impossible to get across with a couple of rifle corps sitting on lvl 3 forts the crossing. If you can maintain a presence on the Taman peninsula into 1942, it will make taking Maikop and Krasnodar so much easier. Would love to see how to control the rout direction. Haven't figured that out yet. Just know they tend to rout towards depots and cities. Ya, Crimea is on the Menu with the Kerch straight for 41. But I am not wholly forgetting the North or the Center either. I still have to figure out my deposition of forces too :( Correct on route towards depots and cities. This one in the south is easy and starts by having the Koval area done first then the Proshkurov area. After that is done the attack routine near Rovno. Of course this is a 30,000 foot view of what to do. The multitude of practice 1st turns has shown me the key route points. Please note that one unit did route east. Sometimes there are deviations from the norm. Just for reference it is in the manual of route priorities for those that want to learn more.
