Another nice scenario. Made off with a minor victory-would have been a major if I had avoided an unfortunate series of events at the end. Worst day for the Soviets though! Singaporean Sea Wolves and Buccaneers were definitely stars of the show. I never did get her into position to engage anyone. Tran Quang Khai with 2 although one missed and the other didn't kill it. A rocket attack from the A-4 performed the coup de grace. The other two finished off a floundering FF. Some of the those old soviet escorts could take a punch! Unfortunate series of events was a late air raid. I got complacent with my CAP and by the time I realized what was coming down the pipe. It had come down the pipe. Wiped out the Western AU group. Mike

Brief AAW: Lots of space to cover and with little resources. Alpha zone seems heavy... more surface units than anywhere else. Analysis is needed on this. No indication why. Early skirmishes leave FPDA bruised with 3 warships hit and sunk. The Perth, Swan, Leander and Cantebury are all sunk by ASM's early on. Retaliatory strikes even the score with several Soviet FF, FFG, and CG's being dispatched over a 10 hour period. Soviet long range Maritime patrols continue to be a concern, but apparently yield no actionable intel. Particular interest is paid to the Udaloy and escort to the north. Buccaneers are able to range Soviet AAW on most sorties, yet several aircraft go down. No submarines have been detected as of 1400Z. No anticipated long range bomber attacks have been detected. Shortly before 1500 a sub is detected and dispatched. 10 April 1995 1530hrs regional commanders call it quits and stand down.
