Hi,

as I wrote on Steam,
I hear the music and sounds during the presentation videos, then when the "real" game start, despite all levels at a value of 10 (in the Preferences window), I don't hear no sounds or music or effects.

I can add that I tried the sound files in the directory (outside of the game) and I play them without issues (I had Windows Media Player as the default app for .wav but it works even with other apps).

Following your instructions I attached the dxdiag file.

Thank you very much.

Thank you, the developer has requested that you try this tool to see if this is a codec issue. The only instances we've run into in the past where sound did not play and the drivers looked ok were codec issues.

Thank you,

I tried, enabled some audio codec that were disabled but to no avail.

Honestly I'm not expert enough to fully understand the tool,
I see there are many instances of "audio-something" but I don't know what they mean.

Maybe I need to reinstall the game?

Thanks again

Have you connected your speakers/headphones directly to your computer or to the monitor?

Problem solved!

Starting from your suggestion of codec-tweak-tool I downloaded the new version of K-Lite Codec Pack,
installed it (the process did uninstall, repair and fix some wrong things) et voila, the sound is back!

:-)

Thank you very much!

Great news, glad it's working for you!
