It is truly bad news to hear that the guys at Matrix feel as badly as they apparently do about the herculean efforts they have put into SP:Waw, that they haven't received the tangible expressions of support ($)that they have needed. What they have done for us, the WWII historical gaming community has been unique in the history of gaming. We are not likely to see its equal again. As some have said here on this forum, I can live with SP:WaW as it is and get years of fun and pleasure out of it. What other game can you say that about? I've ordered both MCs and tee shirts and I still got a lot more than I've paid for. Thanks to the Matrix team for all you have done. I regret that more of us didn't express their gratitude with their wallets. I hope we can energize a larger audience to pay up for Combat Leader and whatever else Matrix produces. We here on this forum cannot afford to let the Matrix team get disillusioned, disenchanted, or not get a reasonable monetary return for their outstanding devotion, and sacrifice ... yes, sacrifice they could all probably be making a better living using their skills for purposes other than producing the best damned wargames around. Pay up, guys ... or you'll regret it in the future.

I don't post very often but I enjoy SPWAW and I pre-ordered MCNA, I have pre-ordered MC2 and I will pre-order MC3 when it is available. It is sad that when it came time to put their money where there mouths are many gamers limped away. Shame on you. p.s.- The one problem I had with MCNA, which I did not post on the forum but followed the instructions on bug reporting, was answered and corrected by Paul within 24 hours. That is customer service!

Hi. Thanks Matrix for SPWAW, the best wargame I have played in my life.
Thanks for the MCNA that I own and play, a gem.
Thanks for MCLV that preordered some weeks ago... its a great hope and illusion, a jewell, sure.
Thanks for the old&new friends at the forum.
Thanks for the Pbem enemies (or where friends?)
Thanks for those nights fighting "all night long".
Thanks for the questions and the quick and gentle answers.
Thanks for the new games, I will play them.
Thanks for all, Matrix gentlemen, I have faith on your work.

Brand new to SPWaW, so just bought both MC's and will get #3 when it's out. Hate to see things come to this point. SPWaW is untouchable for it's type of graphics/strategy game. Untouchable, and far exceeding what anyone DARED to think could or would happen years ago(that is, of us who were onboard with SP since it's inception). Technically, I have never seen a company do such good work and keep at it. MATRIX has taken the bar waaaay high... I will definitely be looking into acquiring some of their other products. That being said, I do think this (the SPWaW issue) becomes an issue of marketing and expectation (which is quite dangerous in the strategy community - it's sooo small). And I'll leave that there. I would have paid handsomely for this game AS IS. The inevitable with wargames is this - all companies come to the point where they give up support and development. It's a matter of money. Like I said, I would have bought the basic engine for a good bit. My buying the MC's at this point is just a way to show gratitude for what has been done. I understand Paul is disappointed. Maybe from a business standpoint it is valid. However, from the standpoint of computer wargame achievement, there is no basis for disappointment - quite the contrary. I will always be happy with SPWaW.
