Marshall Ellis -> November Update! (11/2/2004 12:43:39 AM)

Hey guys:

We're still play-testing as we speak but the testing is a bit slow right now since we're trying to test the PBEM functions in the game. Still trying for this year although we're running out of time!

Thank you

CSSS -> RE: November Update! (11/2/2004 2:37:36 AM)

SOBBING....[:(][:(][:(]
Marshall, could we not get the game and have a PBEM patch? Think of the Christmas revenues?

vonpaul -> RE: November Update! (11/2/2004 2:57:54 AM)

I hate getting a game that was rushed into production , not so bad now that i have broadband, but for years i didnt have the internet at all , is a real pet hate!

John Umber -> RE: November Update! (11/2/2004 8:54:13 AM)

I am very old...

I remember a song like "last christmas I gave...", or something similar.

I also remember writing EIA-computer version on my wishing list. What did I get?
Long empty evenings with a beer... and EUII.

Marshall, finish the game in your time. We have waited this long and can wait a few months more. Just make yourself proud of this game.

HobbesACW -> RE: November Update! (11/2/2004 9:55:41 AM)

Long evenings with a beer and EUII is exactly what I was planning this Christmas! Doesn't sound so bad :)

Norden_slith -> RE: November Update! (11/2/2004 9:59:28 AM)

No thank you. The pbem-part is - for me - the only realistic way to play this. 10-20 years ago we had all the time in the world, but no internet....

Windfire -> RE: November Update! (11/3/2004 3:11:50 AM)

Take the time and do it right. I would rather have the final product and have future releases be additional scenarios and variations on the game instead of patches to make it work.

NeverMan -> RE: November Update! (11/4/2004 1:44:08 AM)

Take the time?? Could they have anymore time? By the time this comes out, I will be dead!

peskpesk -> RE: November Update! (11/4/2004 7:47:14 AM)

Yes, pick me too! [:D][:D]

Norden_slith -> RE: November Update! (11/4/2004 9:42:02 AM)

Interesting.
I am involved in 2 EiA-pbem already, but for this, I find the time.

[>:] I'm tired and I'm getting old......

this sounds like another "give them a small piece of cake so they keep calm when we announce that they have to wait for another year"

[:(]

Manfred -> RE: November Update! (11/4/2004 1:30:47 PM)

eheh, count me in too Maurice [;)]

Forward_March -> RE: November Update! (11/4/2004 10:01:23 PM)

You can count me in too, guys. I have far too much time on my hands which could be put to good use.

Camile Desmoulins -> RE: November Update! (11/4/2004 10:04:11 PM)

Friends:

it writes you my spectre. I've died from waiting (starvation, immobility?). If you want to send me a mail, appeal to the spiritism

The heaven is not so bad. And they has a game very similar: on line, fights, treachery... But we should not speak of international politics

I wait for you here... in a lot of time

donkuchi19 -> RE: November Update! (11/5/2004 3:59:58 AM)

Good suggestion!

ardilla -> RE: November Update! (11/5/2004 7:30:44 PM)

I hope it is not a joke!!

I am unemployed right now so I have nothing better to do :)

I would love to tell my EiA boardgame pals that I am testing the CEiA, they will want to kill me for sure.

Well, I guess you have plently of people to pick, but you can count with one more.

I just hope this game is done right, but since even in our boardgames we allways finish discussing some rule I think we will need some patches, but as somebody said, thanks to internet we can play and patch the game whenever the patch is done!

Of course, I hope there are small things to patch.

BTW Marshall, tell us how are going the games!

Thanks and keep up the good work!

shanebosky -> RE: November Update! (11/5/2004 8:15:44 PM)

More playtesters...? But the game is still almost finished right?

oldtimer -> RE: November Update! (11/6/2004 6:30:19 AM)

I would love to help playtest. But I am finishing up my degree, but if you can wait until after Dec 8th 2004 I'll be ready then.

I'm looking farward to your post. When I have seen the specifics I'll know if I am able to playtest for you.

denisonh -> RE: November Update! (11/7/2004 4:56:07 AM)

WIsh I had the time to help playtest.

Look forward mto hearing more as the game delops.

Just make sure it is done right, and that will be enough for me.

Yes, with a game having complex rules, it is to be expected that they will have to address some rules through patches. It would be fantastic to have the game by Christmas - in my case not because of the revenues, but because that is when I would have more time to play.

Of course I could make time to help with testing haha.

meyerg -> Playtesters! Aren't we almost done? (11/8/2004 5:01:34 AM)

Marshall:
The "may be able to get it done by the end of the year" and "asking for playtesters" are two statements that do not go together. I think we are looking at Summer - Christmas next year.
That said, I hope this doesn't affect my chance to be a playtester.

greg

By the way, real men pick outflank when they play the Turks.

crenfrow -> RE: Playtesters! Aren't we almost done? (11/10/2004 8:43:42 PM)

I am just curious how a company can pour out the money that it takes to create this game for this many years and have nothing coming in. I think Matrix needs to dump some manpower in to this project to help old Marshall Elis out and finish it. I have seen them finish other projects in much much shorter time. I am sure that Marshall being a company man is not going to talk bad a about Matrix but it is obvious to me that he needs more support. I think it would be a major financial blunder to miss the Christmas sales.

well thats my 2 cents

elvistheprince -> RE: November Update! (11/12/2004 4:46:04 PM)

<delurk>

I'm up for playtesting, it's been a whilsr since I played EiA but I've been wanting to get back into again.

Cheers

Stephen
