ORIGINAL: MadmanRick Under 1.3, I also have seen no uber PT tactics. Most of the PT attacks I've seen usually result in the PT's taking most of the losses. Even when the PT's attack unescorted transports, I don't see PT's slaughtering ships. So as far as I am concerned things in this aspect of the game are closer to what I believe reality should be. Now if we could just get the rest of the problems fixed we'd (at least I KNOW I will be) be in heaven! Rick Have to admit I have, though it was no tactic, just dumb luck. In a game vs. Herbie (where he went for the PI opening with KB), I was escorting an AK out of Manila with some evac'd troops on board, using 3 PTs. Well, the Nells found the AK in the Sulu Sea and renderding the PTs mission moot. So, looking for trouble, decided to cruise (literally) over to Jolo, and mess with the landing forces there on the way south to Dutchland. Well, it went like this; get message that Jap SF is reacting to the move. Since I am on cruise, I don't get there until daylight. Get there to find Kongo with 2 CA and a division of DD. Cut to the chase, we get the surprise option, hit with one torpedo and run. Later would be caught and lose 2 pt. BUT (you knew there was a big but coming up) that one torpedo hit Kongo, penetrated her magazine spaces and the resultant explosion sank her. That has been the first and only PT action in my game so far, and we stand on the 23rd of Dec. Congrats on your attack! I find that the only way I have been able to get PTs to work is to use them in a port that has not fallen yet. They succeed pretty consistently in this use, but a converted to matchwood in most other situations.
