"The island is now in the hands of the Japanese, thousands of them, we will stay in touch with South Pacific command HQ at Noumea concerning further intel, me and my men will try to passively resist the Japanese occupation to aid the Allied war effort, goodbye"
These where the words of Martin Clemens, a Aberdeen born Scot and son of a choir master. This unlikely "Hero" is the head of the "Soloman Islands Protectorate Defence Force", him and his squad of six island natives are being given instructions to "Keep an eye out" on Japanese actions on the island.
With Rabaul now Guadalcanal now fallen to the Japanese, it is clear they wish to disrupt Allied convoy routes to Australia further more with a large airfield which is beleived to be possible to build on the island by Clemens men, which could house many Zeros and more importantly and dangerous to Allied plans Betty Naval long range bombers.
