I'm trying to get an uploaded photo to appear in my signature but I'm not having much luck so far. So I started this thread to toy around a bit and see if I can get it to come up. Please forgive me for being "banner challenged".

Hi, Now allyou have to do is decide what text you want in that picture and one of the banner guru's will hook you up.

no worries on being banner challenged. some of us do graphics for a living. OTOH other then painting i am pretty useless building anything bigger than 1/24 scale.

I am interested in putting up a banner. But I notice that under the signature heading in my profile, there is no option to uplift banner - just signature (max 255) and pgd code? Appreciate advice.[;)]

Get some pictures hosted on photobucket or any other free site. Then use the the PGD code to place the banner in your sig.

Hi Mogami! I've been doing a little work with MS Publisher to try to spice up my banner a bit. I've got a better one in the making. Not having a great deal of luck with it but I might stick with something simple for now to try this banner thing on for size. I kind of like my home fashioned one. It's starting to grow on me. Plus it gives me something extra to do in my spare time aside from writing AARs and stuff. [:)]

A good source is ship model box art

There is a ton of good military model sites out there, just find a image you like and right click and save [;)]

What kind of float plane is that on the tail of that BB? I have a similar looking one on a plastic model of the USS Indianapolis I have but I don't think it's represented in WitP. The only float planes for the US I've seen so far are SOC Seagull and Kingfisher.
