Hey Nick, I had a quick look at your new editor. Well..not so much new in it, with regard to what the MG editor and StukobHack have to offer.[X(] Do you have any intents to expand it with some cool new features not available with the other editors? Showing used unit icons would be one option or prelistening of the assigned unit/weapon sounds ect.

Easy loading/saving of CSV files is one good feature, but would only be of good use for really large OOB projects.

Lets walk first.

I am surprised I got this much cmpleted in the time considering some of the background hickups..

Besides it has picked up on preventing some error you can put in the old editors.

In many case its better for big OOB changes than small alterations. hence the CSV addition.

Major Destruction -> RE: TDRHack now available !! (10/15/2005 11:03:43 PM)

One feature that would be useful:

If you move a platoon formation from one slot to another, then all company formations that use this platoon will be updated automatically with the new platoon formation number.

Is this possible?

or if you enter a wrong date in the formations screen that doesnt match the units availablility...or vice versa

A simple question, Why am I the only idiot around here writing this thing?

It would be a LOT simpler if others joined in to help write the code for it and all your suggestions..

Alby -> RE: TDRHack now available !! (10/16/2005 6:27:54 PM)

heheh
cause you are the man...
dont you hate suggestions...[:D]
I have no clue about writing code my friend or I'd give you a hand...
excellent work my friend..
just suggestiong things that have caused me problems with original editor..
keep up the good work.

Hey Nick,

ya know Iīm good for honest and constructive critics! [:)] With regard to your programming efforts I would be more than happy to have 1% of your skills, so that would maybe enable me to improve Freds WaWMap editor. Did ask him for the code some time ago, but received no reply since.[:(][:(][:(]

Not sure if I could help you with your further programming efforts concerning your editor! I have VC 7.0 on my hard drive, as well as the DX9 kit (beeing involved in another wargaming project where i do very minor programming or rather help debugging ect.)

As for most of Fred's material you will need the Borland CBuilder at least version 5 plus. He says something about that on his web site, reference to Borland anyway.

His web site has the latest version of WAWEdit anyway. Not sure if that is the one you are refering to.

Critics well [sm=00000612.gif], Suggestion well.. [sm=Christo_pull_hair.gif]

Doing the work [sm=00000018.gif][sm=00000018.gif][sm=00000018.gif]

Only joking..

Yeah I know about Fred using CBuilder for his stuff. No major problem to convert to VC environment though. Something like that has been done for the Panzer Elite code project too, although the source was Watcom C mostly.

Was referring to WaWMap Edit. I had "Simple" things like adding hot keys to various functions and that stuff in mind. Small things that help using his editor more efficiently for larger projects, just as you did with your editor for OOB stuff.[8D]

As said, donīt take my "critics/comments" as negative! You should know I donīt mean it so.[;)]

Just remembering David Wick/Ectizen who made several excellent editors in 2001/2002. Does anybody know what pissed him off so much for leaving entirely??[:(]
