Terminus -> RE: Hawker Sea Fury (3/31/2006 12:35:21 PM)

Actually, I've been looking for it too, and I can't find it at the moment.

Dixie -> RE: Hawker Sea Fury (3/31/2006 12:50:26 PM)

Found it thanks

Terminus -> RE: Hawker Sea Fury (3/31/2006 2:03:40 PM)

No problem...

Terminus -> Subchaser shipside wanted... (4/1/2006 12:48:17 AM)

Like the subject line says, has anybody done an updated version of the USN SC class? I looked at the shipside the other day, and realised how inferior it is, considering all the great art that's out there...

timtom -> RE: Subchaser shipside wanted... (4/6/2006 3:44:49 AM)

Chinese P-40 and B-25. IIRC, the P-43 and P-66 have already been done, although I can't findthem anywere [:(]

el cid again -> Cargo Ships (4/6/2006 4:34:54 AM)

Yamatama Maru - possibly worlds largest cargo ship -
46000 plus grt - apparently Brazilian built

Irako - actually a reefer of medium size - formerly called an "AE" in WITP - should be an AK

Dixie -> RE: Subchaser shipside wanted... (4/6/2006 12:26:28 PM)

Here you go

Nice job, Dixie!

Dixie -> RE: Subchaser shipside wanted... (4/6/2006 3:29:10 PM)

Thank you, I'm getting into this artwork stuff. I'd also like to give a big thanks to CobraAus for his fantastic backgrounds.

Terminus -> RE: Subchaser shipside wanted... (4/6/2006 4:17:05 PM)

Very cool... You should get that packed up and sent out.

Dixie -> RE: Subchaser shipside wanted... (4/6/2006 4:28:17 PM)

I might do that, if I can find someone who'll upload them onto their website. I've also done most of the Commomnwealth planes as well.

Rogueusmc would probably be willing to host them. Send him a PM about it.

Terminus -> Looking for another shipside... (4/9/2006 3:51:54 PM)

If anybody wants to have a go. This is the Japanese subtender Taigei, a fictitious vessel by Alt_Naval. It's a 14,000-tonner of 613 feet.

kokubokan25 -> RE: Looking for another shipside... (4/9/2006 3:56:17 PM)

The japanese REALLY have a AS Taigei on stock game. This ships is very similar.

Terminus -> RE: Looking for another shipside... (4/9/2006 4:14:05 PM)

You know, I just checked my Jane's after that post, and you're right...

EDIT: the picture in Jane's (which looks a lot like Alt_Naval's shipside) and JnSide0107, which the stock Taigei uses, look nothing alike. Request repeated.

Monter_Trismegistos -> RE: Looking for another shipside... (4/9/2006 5:40:53 PM)

Taigei? Wasnt it converted to Zuiho/Shoho/Ryuho ?

The AS Taigei was re-worked by me days ago. Here you are, and the ZIP on my page.

Terminus -> RE: Looking for another shipside... (4/9/2006 5:49:40 PM)

In real life, yeah, the Taigei was converted to the Ryuho. My mod, though, isn't a serious attempt at redoing history (we have CHS for that), and I need the subtenders after having redone the whole Japanese submarine arm.

bradfordkay -> HMS Manxman (4/9/2006 7:13:33 PM)

This is a ship that could seriously use new artwork. I'm playing the CHS, and in it this ship does not have anything near the grace that photographs show. Her bow is too blunt, she seems truncated, generally disappointing... I'm not meaing to hurt the feelings of whoever drew her, but I just think that she could be seriously improved.

Terminus -> RE: HMS Manxman (4/9/2006 9:56:31 PM)

Yeah, I'd like to see CobraAus do it, but he's been ill recently...

Alikchi2 -> RE: HMS Manxman (4/10/2006 5:54:18 AM)

Hey Cobra, could you do this rebuilt Hood for me?

[image]http://www.hmshood.com/ship/history/LargeRepair/monty1944.gif[/image]

If it's not too much trouble, please try and keep it about the same scale as the previous Hood you made for me [:)] Thanks a bunch!

edit: sorry about hugeness :P

Terminus -> RE: HMS Manxman (4/10/2006 11:30:42 AM)

Excellent news, Cobra.

Terminus -> RE: HMS Manxman (4/10/2006 1:38:05 PM)

Forget about the Taigei. Alikchi is sending me Cobra's shipside for the Shiushu, which is basically identical.

I thought you were talking about the Taigei, Brad. Missed the change in subject line. Cobra's redone the Manxman (or Abdiel class), ages ago, on my commission, actually. I've got the sides if you want them.

Note quite ficticious - just not completed in this form! She was rebuilt - and renamed - as a carrier - as was her sister. They were designed so they could be fast oilers, seaplane tenders or light carriers - whatever was required.

Terminus -> RE: Looking for another shipside... (4/11/2006 11:34:42 AM)

I know. It was a common hull. Didn't research all the way before I made the post... With all the "what-if" stuff on Alt_Naval's site, I figured he'd made up those as well.
