Just the major warships named would suffice for curiosity sake. Simple numbers of smaller ships like AKs would be of interest too just to see the breadth of the destruction.[:)]

veji1 -> RE: air losses (6/14/2006 6:59:30 PM)

scaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaary... BBs don't respawn, and that's gonna hurt when bombarding of invaded islands is going to be needed, and for protection of landing forces when you'll send surface tfs to mess with them...

Sneer -> RE: air losses (6/14/2006 7:09:08 PM)

that's why BB were chosen as target during last battle pursuit

Sneer -> RE: air losses (6/14/2006 7:13:40 PM)

BTW
allied side still has quite a lot of them
3 old "R"class + warspite + malaya in RN
I think 6 old US BBs  too
+ new coming US fast BBs
+ many cruisers
he still have advantage in broadside

veji1 -> RE: air losses (6/14/2006 7:23:58 PM)

allies always have advantage in everything.... Whenever this advantage becomes marginal instead of overwhelming it is a victory...:)

Mike Solli -> RE: air losses (6/14/2006 7:39:21 PM)

R Class = Target [;)]

Sneer -> RE: air losses (6/14/2006 7:42:58 PM)

"R" class is fearsome beast in night short range engagement
and always good to kill my atolls
i would change my Fuso /Ise  types for them

never underestimate enemy

Mike Solli -> RE: air losses (6/14/2006 7:46:10 PM)

No, I don't underestimate the enemy, usually.[:D]

I've found that if I can take the Andaman Islands early (and put some Emily and Nell/Bettys there), those R Class are dead meat. They can't make it anywhere before they are turned into Swiss cheese.

Sneer -> RE: air losses (6/14/2006 7:48:26 PM)

my enemy made this error and lost Revenge early - bombarded Rangoon when i moved planes to moulmain
now "R"class moves always with carriers

invernomuto -> RE: losses (6/14/2006 10:08:54 PM)

/invernomuto joins Sneer Fans Club...

How could you sink 4 fast BBs? Their AAA is awesome.

Sneer -> RE: convoy intercepted (6/14/2006 11:38:52 PM)

N.carolina was bombed by KB and heavy shelled by BB at Pago harbour
washington was damaged and detached from Air TF ( i think)
S.dakota was damaged probably the same way as washington and indiana had a duel with musashi at night and was finished when crippled by planes - whole story of this huge almost 2 week battle is few page earlier
- all of this happened 2 month of game time earlier

Raverdave -> No wuckers! (6/15/2006 12:27:32 PM)

Regardless of what I have lost so far (as painful as those losses were) I am still in an aggressive mood and looking for blood and capable of dealing out some lumps of my own.

Sneer -> RE: No wuckers! (6/15/2006 12:48:03 PM)

convoy battle near Darwin
i moved nells to lautem and koepang
koepang mission failed to launch and was caught by b17
but second group ( escorted one ) managed to score few hits

veji1 -> RE: No wuckers! (6/15/2006 12:58:25 PM)

well you still have your LBA, so even if you can hardly conquer anything on land for months to come, you can already severly weaken his indian and eastern DEI holdings...

But it would sure be braver to charge head on in cenpac....

Sneer -> RE: No wuckers! (6/15/2006 1:01:43 PM)

My bet is Raverdave will sonner or later try surprise cenpac assault

Sneer -> RE: No wuckers! (6/15/2006 1:40:12 PM)

03/17/43
night bombardment of tenimbar
27 allied planes destroyed

03/18/43
previously damaged AK sunk at Wyndham

Sneer -> darwin disaster (6/15/2006 3:29:41 PM)

rushing turns brings sometimes unpleasant results - little warning to all WITP maniacs
i waited with light forces for enemy shipping at isle next to tenimbar close to amboina
this night they were ordered to check for enemy barges
unfortunately i did not unlock their patrol order and enemy bombers found them at enemy harbour during day phase
4 tomozuru class DD sunk 1 fubuki class is damaged
looks like time to slow down and check all things every turn[8|]

Raverdave -> RE: darwin disaster (6/15/2006 4:09:16 PM)

Cenpac eh ?  so thats where you think I'll strike hard and fast next eh?   Well time will tell.    Nice to get a handful of Jap DDs........The battle North of Darwin is starting to scale up and it is getting bloody.

BrucePowers -> RE: darwin disaster (6/15/2006 4:10:40 PM)

I am still looking for Raver to come back strong. He probably has a few surprises up his sleeve.

Sneer -> RE: convoy intercepted (6/15/2006 4:31:47 PM)

DDs were human error like your convoy
do not count on repeat
BTW you have advantage in region and I see more allied blood till moment
Cenpac -not now  - somewhere within 3-5 months when you recognize KB busy around darwin -

BrucePowers -> RE: darwin disaster (6/15/2006 4:36:58 PM)

Never having gotten very far in this game (my own fault, other priorities) how long does it take you guys to input a turn before sending it. I realize when planning an invasion more time is required.

Raverdave -> RE: darwin disaster (6/15/2006 5:03:41 PM)

Takes me about 20 mintues on average....sometimes only 10 and other times upto an hour.

Sneer -> RE: darwin disaster (6/15/2006 5:05:15 PM)

10-15 min unless major operation underway - sometimes twice that

Sneer -> RE: convoy intercepted (6/15/2006 5:11:59 PM)

it takes ap 30 min for us both to issue order and next 30 min to technical issue upload - transfer between mail servers and download
so in good time we do 1 turn /hour
