Rob: Indeed.. Holy c%p! This time around I'am skeptical too but I will do whatever I can to even the odds.

The capture of Mandalay was good news.. Now I need to make sure he cannot reorganize his defenses at Burma. (Allthough Dave might already be ready)

I'am targeting cities. Actually I had targeted the manpower at Tokyo... didn't fly... now I try againts Osaka.

I think that I really need some luck here!

..Those B29's just refuse to fly out of Kadina. I changed the target to Sapporo for next turn. Hopefully, it will work. I read the manual and there should not be any reason why these planes don't fly.

I'm dubious of the effectiveness of bombing Kagoshima airfield.

1) he's NOT going to run out of supply in the HI
2) Plenty more airfields very close
3) level 9 forts aren't going to get any better

However hitting the Port will 'hopefully' reduce the damage your transports take when unloading , while ground attack will disrupt his units if not do all that much damage due to the 'rolling' stack feature

.

To sum the above up --> I'am screwed!

Unfortunately you might be right.

It is hard to estimate how much supplies he has piled up there. I mean he hasn't been able to bring in resources etc for longtime.

Those naval bombardments are becoming too costly. He has already torpedoed 3 BB's and that is not good.

You will get the screenshot If I'am ever to figure out how detonate the damn thing!!!

Kadina is overstacked (388 planes according to your screenie above; 350 max for level 7 AF). Atomic bomb squadron will probably only launch when all of the squadrons' planes fly. Just a theory...

Thanks Rob. It seems I'am not missing much with Nukes by reading the damage levels. Regular bombers are much more effective it seems.

Also looked at the screenshorts and it seems those test runs were flown out of China!!! That should mean that I can use the bomb outside Tinian and Terminus also stated that this would be the case.

Well.. battle on.. couple of bugs found in Russia and need to think hard on the future plans.

I have targeted Sapporo's HI for past two turns.

I think the problem is at Kadina though. Propably a bit overstacked there. I will move the squadron out next turn and change for better commander.

Brief update is in order....

KABOOM, KABOOM and KABOOM.... well you guess it.. nukes did detonate but it exploded not once, not twice but three times into sama target!!!

�...talk about an overkill. Well, Dave posted about in the bugs forum which is proper place for it.

Operation Olympic is stuck and will remain stuck for time being... LBA bombardments + Ground bombardments are made daily againts the enemy here.

In Burma Allied troops captured Rangoon. The city was abandoned by the enemy. Very low supply level indicates that my bombers did their job here nicely.

In Russia everything is coming along nicely. Forts were lowered at Mutanchiang and Tsihar. It is onlly matter of time when these bases will fall.

Actually thats a good idea imo. Is it time to abandon Olympic and 'just' aim for Korea instead ?

. Also hows your PP's ? you could switch some Chinese to Russian command would reduce the strain on Chinese supply if you have a link to the USSR (no idea if this is actually possible )

I'am moving some units into Vladivostok due this. Also Russian divebombers with hit these enemy troops hard in forthcoming days.

Japanese are using paratroopers tactics very aggressively. Dave is dropping enemy units behind lines in order to cut my supply lines. I have to admit this is effective style. (Same tactic is used at Burma)

I can confirm that there seems to be IJA divisions from China coming towards Manchuko. At least 4-7 divisions I would estimate.

I continue to bomb Japanese economy from Kadena, Iwo Jima and Bonin. There isn't actually a lot left to bomb anymore.

Big cloud was seen over Tokyo. US HQ confirmed that 2 Atomic Bombs were dropped. No news whether emperor is still alive.

ummm .. leave here asap imo. i don't believe you get CD guns firing unless your landing so picking up the dispirited and depleted army shouldn't be too hard (unless im wrong then its a nightmare )

Rob: Thanks! Hmmm.. This might sound stupid but how on earth I'am going the pick them up? Park my AK's and such into Kagoshima with Patrol/Do not retire orders and start loading them up?

Few thoughts and observations regarding Russia.

a) Russians do become massive force to be reckon with once the divisions upgrade. I think there are around 1 000 000 men storming around. Hard to stop.

b) See point a. If possible I would suggest that Japanese player takes out or neutralizes Russia before this happens.

c) If possible allied player should send in supplies into Russia via ships. (I haven't done this yet but definately will do it soon) The supply situation is not great due to immense number of troops it needs to feed.

d) Russian airforce is good later on but very much short legged. Look at their range and map. I think it would be good idea to send in some US bombers and fighters if your houserules don't deny this.

Just a few points that come in to mind.

Never used the red menace so can't comment about that ..but seems a bit odd they are supply short in aug 45 .. should have huge
amounts stockpiled imo.

I can confirm that Red Army eats a lot of supplies!!! I will propably ship in +300 000 units of supplies into Russia.

Hmmm... I guess it should work "vice versa" as you said.
