Well, I think I know how T might have felt passing his exams. I just got the press release I wrote last week back from our partner company, who insisted on reviewing it. They are only about 50 times bigger than we are and have an entire media relations division. Although the release is a bit marked up it is mostly word choice issues rather than content. I am quite happy with that. If I could only shake my Texas heritage and learn to use fewer contractions there would have been almost no changes.

Apparently the word don't isn't ok for a printed article. At least I didn't use the word y'all

Here's the abridged version:

First let me say I'm not singling T out here, but his statement seemed a perfect starting point.

Basically what's wrong in America is everyone is convinced that they are right always and everyone else is wrong always. and exactly how long have you been married now???

No, don't think i'd enjoy being single again, but i wouldn't have to worry about supporting a wife... and from past experience, i would have a lifestyle slightly better than a bear in a cave. However, it IS an inexpensive lifestyle...

Well, maybe a step up from that... thinking back on how much i spent for rent, it was astonishingly low... i think the most i spent was $425/month, and i went to something far cheaper pretty soon as that was way too expensive.

There were sometimes that were pretty much indistinguishable from that state... like the winter when i had no money and no heat, and it was way below freezing... i retreated to the bathroom, put folds of newspaper over the windows for insulation, and slept in a sleeping bag in the bathtub... i had put heat tapes on the pipes in the house so they wouldn't freeze, but that didn't keep the communal well from freezing up and also depriving me of water. There was a shower at work, thank The Thread...

This is what happens when all your school loans come due and the monthly payments exceed your monthly income...

Sorry, but I haven't found anything like that. I've looked too. I've looked for 2 separate things. One was what you mentioned and the other was the number and size of the slips in Japanese ports (mainly for ship production). I did this years ago, but haven't looked recently.
