Certainly not me At the moment, the closest I get is 24 hours at Basrah International, our big jets stay well away from the trouble if possible

NATO, thank the Thread. Was on one of the first deployments after NATO took command in Bosnia, and then again in Kosovo.

Officially, I was a part of a "peacekeeping mission" but that didn't stop the bad guys from taking an occasional potshot at us. You can become just as dead in a peacekeeping mission as in a shooting war.

Smart move. In about 6 months, I'll find out if I get to visit another armpit of the world for 18 months or so. Bright side is that Mogami would probably be going along too. We could hot seat.
