Bah!

Brethren, our sympathy should go out to the heretic Nik. He apparently has been treated for toe injuries after one of his punting attempts went horribly (for him) wrong:

OK - maybe someone can help me out here:

i am starting to create some MP3 files - but i am having difficulty in playing them back in that it is extremely awkward.

In order to playback in the programs i've looked at so far (mainly Windows Media Player, but also one other program), you have to select each file individually, and click on each one in *reverse order*... so if i have 30 files (tracks) to play, you have to sit there for a minute or so each time you want to play them, clicking on them one at a time starting from the end working backwards.

I guess you could sit there and create a playlist each time, but since i am usually only listening to this stuff once, it isn't worth it to do this.

There should be an easier way to just play a subfolder of files! Any suggestions?

I run a GForce 6600GT, and am still on the fence about Oblivion... Will wait a bit longer and hear how people do with the thing...

I'm using a GeForce 6600, so your video should be around the same as mine. As said earlier, I have a number of the bells and whistles turned off or down and I'd say my graphics are on par or slightly better than the screenshot someone posted from EQ2.

This is one of those games that pushes the envelope on what most people's PCs can handle, but they appear to have tried to make it workable on something other than the latest prototypes available to the public. It was also written to run on the XBox, so that has influenced the requirements.

I have a similar issue when selecting multiple files, Windows always seems to take whatever you click on last as the file that should be played/displayed/handled first. What I do is 1) click on the second item; 2) shift-click on the last item (so that all the but first are highlighted as "selected"); then 3) double control-click on the first item. That seems to "put" them into Media Player in the correct order.

You can also open Windows Media Player and go to open file. When you navigate to the files you want you can highlight and open using clicks, shift-clicks and control-clicks in whatever combination you would like. It will move all the selected files to the playlist.

Well, I don't know how much longer I will be posting today. They just came to rip the bathroom out of my apartment. So I may have to actually go out and interact with real live people!
