... all into one large vat, then stirring.

You do get some interesting patterns, but end up with drunk multicolored children and dogs, and funny smelly clothes.

Not too far off the mark. Kids and dogs were thoroughly dyed. The t-shirts got a little on them too.

Martians don't hijack. We commandeer. Plus, space shuttles can't be turned into Q38 Space Modulators, so they are pretty safe from our salvage operations.

Another illustrative tale of the faulty wiring in women:

Anniversary weekend this past one and we went to a little bed & breakfast near here. Wife gets a cold. All is fine until we arrive back yesterday, when she turns to me and says, "Why don't you get colds?".

Fortunately, I was abnormally alert and said "Oh, I do." rather than the first answer that popped in my head: "Because I have an immune system that works."

Just got an e-mail from a friend of mine. He told me, somehow managing to convey his abject terror through keystrokes, that several of his girlfriend's girlfriends are either pregnant or have just become mothers. I replied that he must be having trouble sleeping for the noise of his girlfriend's biological clock ticking so loudly.

He hasn't answered yet. Must be hiding under the bed...

So was he cowering in anticipation of his gf's reaction, or because he had, um, met the now pregnant friends on the sly?

The former.

I'm sure he wants kids eventually, but right now, any sort of talk about wallpaper for a child's bedroom would leave a humanoid-shaped hole in the wall of his house...

Oh... well, i was going to advise your friend to leave town (not just cower under bed) if it had been the latter...

Yeah, ticking clocks can be unnerving...

Wise man. And if she ever asks "Does this make me look fat?" you know to fake a stroke. There is no answer that will not cause you pain.

Try - "Wow! That makes you look great!!!"

Of course, you may regret later this if in fact it doesn't make her look great... but then you can blame it on the Y chromosome lacking the fashion sense gene...

Insincerity can be detected and then you are in troube. Any dely in responding is trouble. If she feels fat that day and you answer otherwise you are in trouble. That's why I always go for the stroke.

There is no good answer to the weight question. My ex had a weight issue, so I thought, oh, when I date the new GF (years later) the fact that she's skinny means this won't come up. I was half right...she never asks if something makes her look fat. Now I get, does this outift make me look skinny?

How many strokes have you had so far?

Several, mostly with the Wife Mk 1 (returned for a refund after 22 grueling months due to faulty programming) Better than answering "No the dress doesn't make you look fat, your huge butt makes you look fat" which was the first thought that came to mind.

I have learned to disaapear during clothes shopping (kids are a great excuse to do so) so as not to be put in this situation.

Not yet. I haven't decided whether to go with the simple, minimalistic "Zoing!" or the more complicated, resource-intensive "Zoi-oi-oi-oi-oing!!!"...
