Hmm, similar to mine, except for the graphics card (I've got a 6600GT)... Lots of different reports on stability, etc. whilst running this thing...

Like anything these days but... Marc Schwanebeck is right: most peeps problems with games start with their PC. I have spent 3 (or 4...i've lost count/life) days straight playing without any problems ie: slowdown, crash, freeze, seizures....SO much improved over Morrowind. I wasn't going to dive in, i have my hands full with my 9 year old son and 84 year old Dad, but now that i've lost the key to the basement...well...fate is a remarkable thing.

Superb game!
My Wood Elf Custom Thief is now, Level 20 and having done two main quests only, is as follows:
Dark Brotherhood: Listener
Thieves Guild: Guildmaster/Gray Fox
Member of the "Knights of the White Stallion"
Member of "The Blades"
and last, but not least,...a Vampire

I just built a new system for this game (I had to build a new one when Daggerfall came out as well!), and am very impressed with its stability. Bethesda has certainly seemed to learn their lessons from Daggerfall and Battlespire.

The game world seems a little small compared to Morrowind, though they appear to have crammed as many ruins, caves, etc into the smaller area. The gameworld is absolutely beautiful. It makes you feel like you're taking a hike in a well maintained national park...

I got this because I read rave reviews all over about it. But I have to say I found it boring. Not my cup of tea at all.

It looks great...and if you can be half arsed to play it the way it's meant to be played and take on board all the personal attributes and build on them, then I'm sure it's great. But I was bored senseless within the first hour and uninstalled it.

After the "clunky" combat (my opinion) I managed to escape the castle/prison and big rats and found myself "imprisoned" again when I crossed the water...went down into that crypt or whatever it was!! Then I eventually got out of there and into a populated area....GREAT! And found that every single person I spoke to had the same options for questions I was able to ask!!

I bought a room (for laughs) managed to trade some stuff (having no idea if it was a bargain or not) and eventually found myself running upstairs in a house where the wenches were telling me to leave and got arrested. I paid the fine and left....then I found myself doing other "illegal" stuff because I was bored of looking for different buildings to walk in only to find different people allowing me to ask the same questions and more than willing to give the same answers!!

I stole a horse and rode into the distance. Then I saw a Knight fighting wild dogs...I stopped and stole his horse...and he gave chase - on foot! Ended up, he wasn't tired enough after running all that way to kill me with arrows!

BORED! BORED! BORED!

I guess RPG is not my genre.

JudgeDredd,

I tend to agree. Ive played it for a little longer than you though. Completed a few quests. In the end though its goto ruin/Fort, enter ruin, slash way through ruin, gain experience to make you better at slashing your way thyrough Ruins/Forts etc etc.

I did get bored. Still on the harddrive but I dont know how long it will stay there.

I prfered the BAldurs GAte series tobe honest.

Couldnt get into Neverwinter Nights. Hated that no party aspect, just you and one other.

At least I did discover something...a genre that I do not like! That's bound to save some money which is good because
a: The wife will see me buying less games
b: I will be able to buy more games of the genre I enjoy
c: Scrub a:
