Hi.

Below is the short list for items I'm currently working on addressing. These changes/fixes should start making their appearance in BETA form toward the end of this week. These are listed roughly in order of they'll be addressed.

- Stats.
The various statistical and standings bugs many have reported. For example the season standings not showing after week 3 or 4 as well as the league stats (historical) not displaying. Among others.

- Crashes/Lockups.
One person has mentioned that they're getting a Run Time Error (RTE) when trying to load a play into the PDS for editing. I'm looking at it but it doesn't seem to be that wide spread or I think there would be a lot more reports.

I'm trying to narrow down the problem with punts (or other kicks) going into the endzone when played in arcade mode and the game locking up. So far I've been unable to reproduce this.

If any other major crashes show up in the support forums that I've not already addressed they'll be looked at in a priority order.

- Penalties.
There are still some odd penalty results happening.

- Clock.
A few knock on bugs were introduced for the Canadian rule set when making changes for the US style of play. I'm trying to develop a system where clock rules (and a few others) are connected to the field you select. This will be an interm measure until I can create a full fledged clock rule option system for users to select from.

- General Game Play.
I'm also trying to improve things in the actual game play. Such areas of interest are QB scrambling and open field running. These sorts of improvements I'm sure will be a never ending process but just so you're aware we're always looking at them.

And finally.
Some users are already starting to modify values in the databases. Either through already developed utilities or through applications like Excel. While this is very exciting, it also makes debugging support requests very difficult if you have modified values in the databases. Please be sure you are using the stock databases (or the game created league databases) before reporting bugs. Changing values in the databases can cause crashes (or at the very least odd happenings) in seamingly totally unrelated areas of the game.

I have a 10 button gravis game pad that I am using but that should not cause the computer team to punt 3rd down and I as a controller cannot pick up the ball. I am sure this is a bug that needs to be address in quick play mode. As you quote above you cannot reproduce this then what the heck is going on then. I have downloaded the same MF game I purchased from you. I also wondered if you have purchased a game pad (the same kind I have) then maybe you will experience the same problem I am having???

If you're playing with the default Canadian rule set, there are only 3 downs and the computer will punt on 3rd down.

Quick Play and League are the same. The only difference is that in League play, stats are recorded.

I have all the Gravis controllers (there are about 10 different ones) but do not think the controller is the problem.

Is the problem that the player stands on the ball and you can't pick it up, or the player runs past the ball? Is the ball moving (bouncing around) or stationary?

Part of the problem in trying to reproduce this is that, so far, 70-80% of the balls are caught in the air, trying to get one rolling around in the endzone is not a situation easily reproduced.

I understand about 3 and 10 using CFL rules but how come when a computer team punts the ball and the ball lands near the 20 yard line and bubbles down to the 5 yard line, I as the human control team who is near the ball cannot move the control player to get the ball and run with it? I will explain in great details...

QUESTION: Is the problem that the player stands on the ball and you can't pick it up, or the player runs past the ball?

ANSWER: The problem is when my controlled player is getting ready for the ball to come to him, the ball punts overhead and the player who I am controlling is trying to get the ball but the player never came back to get the ball. Some of the computer players run pass the ball and continue to run into the endzone. They don't even get the lose ball. Some of the line backers come back they froozed up and form a straight line protecting the ball and they froozed up. Some of the players shake and tweeked back and forth. Some of the players will fall down but nothing hit them. Like they just fell for no reason.


QUESTION: Is the ball moving (bouncing around) or stationary?

ANSWER: Once the ball is punted, the ball does bounce and then it stationary.

While I am trying to get my controlled player to get the ball, the computer players all run pass me and keep on running beyound the end zone? My defensive players all lined up in a striaght line but they do not move at all. My friend here saw this and he is saying that it is not the gamepad, there is a bug that needs to be fixed. Can this be resolved because it will be very disappointing not to fix this.

I sim in a league and the same thing happens as in quick play. Shall I try a different game pad?

Can you list the default values for the DataConstant file. I'd like to go back to those, and wait until I change them.

This may not help you reproduce it, but FYI it's not just happening in arcade mode, it happens in coaching mode too.
