Battle of New Jersey AAR is being upgraded to version 2.0!! Please have your serial number handy in order to utilize the new patch

here's what i propose....if Tom decides to participate...after every combat report update, an updated picture of the current strategic situation will accompany the post in the "signature section"(if a change is warrented of course) I'll handle all the map changes and post them to this link

http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p153/Epicwave17/WITPgame.jpg

that way both me and Tom can include them in each others sigantures for this AAR. I hope for this to make our AAR more enjoyable to read, instead of just text.

example is pictured below

1943 Spring Offensive (Operation Animal) - 11/11/2006 5:50:20 PM

After 2 months of discussion and preparation with the General Staff, "Operation Animal" is about to be unleased on the Japanses defensive perimeter. The offensive is to be completed within 6 months, and is expected to destroy, capture, eliminate about 150,000-200,000 japanese troops.

Forces from NZ, Australia, Canada, and United States will be involved. Over 170 Land Combat Units have been allocated for the offensive, along with 5000 Aircraft, and 200 Warships

Despite the overwhelming force i have arrayed, i expect a bloody upcoming battle. The japanese troops are expected to be well entrenched at level 9 forts. Probably well supplied, and the invasion beaches heavily mined, with CD-guns overlooking the beaches. The KB is pretty much still intact, with only the CV Kaga and CV Junyo sunk so far. I aspect it to come out and play this offensive, before Corsairs are available on carriers in 1944.

My trump card, is my 4E Bombers. I have about 1,000 available for offensive missions with another 1,000 4E bombers in reserve. Also have about 350 P38's available for escort duty.

To quote a soon to be hanged dictator...."this is gonna be the mother of all battles"...stay tuned

woohoo gonna be April 43' next turn. That means 2 important aircraft upgrades.

1st i can finally upgrade my antique Swordfish to Barracuda's.

2nd i will be getting new P40N's. Similar to P40E's, with only an increase in durabilty, but i get 90 a month!...which will finally allow me to upgrade the rest of my P36 groups.

First 3 months of 43 went pretty well. Inspite of PM, Buna, and Gili Gili being captured and suicidal air raids to keep PM closed, Kenny's net point gain was was only 550 points due to his OPs losses, heavy ship/troop losses at PM, and my building in rear areas. Ratio fell from 4.26:1 to 3.61:1 however.

Thanks to my brave barges I pulled off a mini Dunkirk and got most of the PM forces to safety. They will live to fight another day.

KB has recieved upgrades and is ready to tangle with the Essex Class CVs

AC production is doing well and I have plenty of reserves.

New LCUs will arrive soon and the eastern Pacific is now well defended since the invasion of Russia has been called off.

I will try to take Chungking again come summer and I have a few ideas how to make this more likley to succeeed.

My mines once again prove themselves to be useless. They can't sink anything bigger than a PC, not even a thin skinned sub

Tarawa was supposed to be bait for a fast transport raid. I had hoped Kenny would try a raid 6 months ago however. Mines at Tarawa sank a DD, 2PTs, and 2 LCTs but only damaged the transports. Not great results for close to 9,000 mines.

Essex will be fine. Torp hit only caused 3 sys, 24 flt, 24 fires. Not even enough to pull it off station. Thank god the CV Wasp wasn't hit.

turn to come later tonite

Was this enough to cause AC to divert?

Planes don't divert unless the sys damage is over 50.

I thought it was combined sys, float, and fire

planes are still on board. Not sure how fires and flooding effect flight ops though. You would think they should be restricted, but you never know with this game

At the rate your Seabees are improving the place (2 AF levels in 2 days) there should be a world class dry dock to repair her at in about 30 minutes.

Don't forget that they are "union" workers, so this includes a 10 minute coffee and cigarette break.

Essex must be cursed. The I-157 met the same fate as the last sub to take a shot at the essex. She was sunk by a scouting 4E bomber.
