At least you managed to scrap some paint from Yamato... still I don't know how your planes did not discover this"infiltration" of Jap BB's.

Time to get the h3ll out of dodge - If the big boys are out then the KB won't be far behind.
I'm playing NikMod so those Kates WILL get through my CAP.

Looks like the IJN tried (and failed) to get it's decisive battle.

Just like Adm Kurita off Samar against 'Taffy 3' - didn't press the advantage

It would have expexted of me to run, so instead of going southeast I sailed northwest. Caught the SC TF retiring back to Truk and sank the Ise, Yugiri, Yunagi. Yamato got about 20x 1000lb bomb hits (no penetration obviously) and put 5 torps into Musashi (I expect that to sink soon). Now its time to run - very fast!!!!!
I got lucky - it sure won't happen again

Pfff... If your carriers had been SUNK, then...

Indeed, not even one shell hit on the carriers. Your cruisers screened your force admirably.

Jolly good show there, old chap!

Stupid stereotyping aside, this was a great response to the original "oh s...!" moment.

probably true, but there are special rules coded into surface combat where one side is an AC TF. The engagement breaks off early as the Cruisers try to screen the CV.
