US Press Release

Shanghai,China - Today a fleet of 100 US Transports off loaded an amazing amount of material and fuel support for china today. Estimates were that 400,000 tons of supplies and 240,000 tons of coal were off loaded into the main shanghai port today. Officials at the united states embassy say these supplies are to help china carry out its war effort against the Japanese. Shanghai is the largest port of call in mainland china and even so the officials say unloading will take 4-5 days to complete. In other local news the British main fleet of 6 BB's and 5 BC's has pulled into shanghai in order to offer escort to the large convoy since the United States Navy is already thinly stretched. Officials commented that this amount of supplies will keep ground troops fighting for at least another year and that the fuel should last approximately 6 months. When asked about the route the convoy commander used to bypass Japanese blockades the command replied "It was a long voyage that took us the better part of a month and a half to make with alot of precise maneuvering."

Comments:-

Bill has managed to destroy 6 dd's but lucky he didnt catch any transports carrying vital supplies to the russian front. My main surface battle groups have reached west of Japan and will now hunt down the US and chinese fleets.

Damn 100 Transports? How in the world would he get them there? he would have had to micromanage them quite a bit. Whats the good of putting all that supplies in shanghai? I know with the fuel he can use it to keep his fleet afloat. Careful around shanghai if what he said was true you'll have the british fleet to deal with. And if you hit them in force it would be just the excuse UK needs to enter the fight. It seems like uk is passive aggressively trying to put itself in harms way so they can join the fight. For one second i might say its gamey but you two seem to be "RPing" the game pretty well compared to most so i am guessing it would be historical. I mean it could be set the US let itself be hit by japan to get into WW2 without public backlash. Perhaps send your fleet north to the straights to try to destroy those fleets that were hitting your ports.

Well what his done in Shanghai could be true, but I have no idea what his brought in, he also may have brought in additional units. Shanghai may now be a tough nut to crack. The Russian campaign has taken me a while to finish off perhaps I should have attacked Shanghai first and all surrounding ports. I have a feeling that the whole US navy could just show up any time. Yes we are roleplaying the game pretty well, im going to ask Bill whats UK's position would be when I go for Shanghai. UK forces are there, and would it bring the UK into the war. Its going to be real difficult to fight two big navies at one go

Show us what you are sending to marcus? are you sending ships now? why are you going to waste all that coal? Is there a valid reason for you to send ships there? are you going to put them like 2-3 hexes off marcus and wait until your subs say they have ships there and then pounce?

Or are you hoping to draw the us fleet into a battle again? Remember the more you steam the more hull damage you put on there.

Keep us informed we like reading more then just the daily battle summaries we like strategies! We like plans. We are here to help you plan out what to do and all that. So once russia succumbs where are you planning to take next? Bombard shanghai and take it? Then you can just garrison shanghai and reinforce your positions and wait? Perhaps even move on Hong Kong after that.

Im pretty much sending all my combat ships to Marcus Island, they will hang out 4 hexes northeast of Marcus until I spot any possible target to engage by subs. I doubt it very much bill will have anything there by the time I get there. In terms of fuel I have plenty avalible but you right most of my ships are now starting to acumulate around 5-6 system damage, guess I return back to port after this operation.
Hopefully Imam will fall within the next few turns I expect heavy forts to take out. Ive launch a deliberate attack this turn coming I see what happens. My units have only recently recieved supplies. Most units have fatigue of around 40%. However experience is pretty high in their mid 90's.

China is going to be my next target. Im going to try and first probe deep into china and cut of Shanghai. I need to capture every port on mainland china too that maybe a threat. If UK declares war Hong Kong will be taken and a small force will cause havoc in India, bypassing Singapore. Wake Island is fortified heavy and is nearly a level 4 port. Regarding Marcus Island. It would be nice to take it back from the US, but I dont see it happening soon. With 9 LCU spotted well, its going to be tough taking it back. I just will just need to isolate it for the time being.

I will try to talk about strategy more when I can so many good stuff happening in the background and it takes time to write it all here but I will try. Thanks for following this AAR

Japanese launch deliberate attacks at Imam bringing down forts to level 4

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 11/04/22

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ground combat at Imam

Japanese Deliberate attack

Attacking force 438621 troops, 3314 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value =
8822

Defending force 83359 troops, 630 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value =

Japanese engineers reduce fortifications to 4

Japanese assault odds: 0 to 1 (fort level 4)

Japanese ground losses:
7739 casualties reported
Guns lost 302

Allied ground losses:
1482 casualties reported
Guns lost 35

Comments:- Pretty much what I was expecting, still level 4 forts outstanding. Lost alot of good men in that attack. Going to resort to bombarding for the next few turns then im going to hit them again. I doubt it very much they have any supplies left so the Russians are fighting at 50% strengh.

BBC Press Release -

The United Kingdom today issued a press release giving more details about the guarantee of freedom for china. We have placed troops in strategic Chinese cities and we will use all ground forces at our disposal to fight off the Japanese in every sector. After the attack on the argus and the loss of 5 UK Destroyers the parliament and public do not support the Royal Navy being involved. So in the event of hostilities the Royal Navy will be rebased to either Hong Kong, Singapore or India. If war is to come this will be a ground war. The United States has stated it will also send its navy to the aid of China in the event of an attack. We feel that the US Navy is more then a match for the Japanese. So we will use the Royal Navy as a weapon to keep the japanese out of our sphere of influence and protecting convoys in the India to Hong Kong routes. Though we will keep our ships out of any contested waterways.

Message to UK and CW from the Empire of Japan We request that you remove your ground forces from inland China Now. Our dispute with China does not concern you.  If you support the Chinese enemies we shall consider you a direct threat. You have been warned!
