I played the first hungarian campaign, medium diff. level, was scouting. I had 3 meeting- point: around "Leva" (<--> Heister/Schlick), aorund "Kovar" (<--> Rabutin) and "Kecskemet" (<--> south austrian army). If i lose this defense- points, austrian can easily take all my territory...

Battle between Ilosvay and Rabutin's troops in Transylvania

After my first battle against Rabutin (and after he received wound in battle) i had to fight more combat against his troops. This combats were hard, because austrian had:
- 1 Leader (Rabutin, after he wounded: Veterani)
- 2 cuirassier cav. reg.(!)
- 2 carabineer cav. reg.
- 2 infantry reg.
total ~ 1750 cav. , 900 inf.

My army:
- 4 Leader (Ilosvay, Szucs, Kos, ?)
- 7 field cavalry reg.
- 4 rebel inf. reg.
- 1 crier inf. reg.
total ~ 3150 cav. , 1900 inf. with good arguments (70-75 moral, 80 supply, 40-50 XP, 100% stand)

weather: winter

Fortunately in the first battle Rabutin lost his cannons. But Veterani attacked me week in week out. This actions were dangerous and I had to arrest his press forward here, beacuse my another army (that was besieging "Kovar" with Kovacs) was a good and weak target for austrian + I guarded "Nagybanya" with small garrison too. If Ilosvay can't hold on, than I must retreat "Nagybanya" or for "Szatmar", where can join my another and bigger army (Perenyi), but lose "Nagybanya".

So, Veterani attacked me, I took the lead of my army. In tactical battle went forward the austrian. The cav. regiments charged the other side's units and were infantry engagements too. Fortunatelly: my reinforces came in time! So Veterani retreated from the battle and I won!

Losses weren't high: 30-40 men in the sides. I could prepare my position here. After this combat took nearly cities "Des" & "Besztercebanya", so Veterani get fewer supply or nothing. Now I can start a counter- offensive and hopefully will take Transylvania (Austria can't recruit here and don't have any other army here, just fortress,castles).
