Crews in tanks with rivets had to have screens or pads to keep their own tank from killing them when hit.

When I look at these old tanks, I just have to wonder how bad it was to be a tanker back then.

Then again, they didn't have to worry ubout getting hulled by depleted uranium rounds.

Yes the double barreled monster is called Coalition SV (Koalitsiya SV in english transliteration). Obviously it's not WW2 but I just could not resist to post it for the coolness factor. It has been presented last autumn for the first time. 2 x 152mm howitzer.

Russian weapon designs rock. I have no idea what advantage is in this double barreled design though.

that armoured train thingie looks liek a 13lber or 18lber gun on a truck deck of some sort - although whether hte truck runs on rails or roads I have no idea.

Ok here's some hints. It's a 75mm gun in the picture, it is on rails, and it is WW2 vintage.

I guess this one's a little obscure
