I had a wild run avoiding KB with my CV's at the beginning so both TF's were all at about 10 damage so I sent them to SF to repair more quickly. I will probably leave them there until the AA upgrades happen.

u can send only 1 carrier if ur worried about losing em, or u could send em all and concentrate AA and heavy CAP, about 60% or more, thats wat saved my carriers in the fight with Hartwig, plus the AA of course from all the escorts

Hmmmm... Good idea. In 11 turns the Yorktown shows, and my ships should be about 100%. I believe I might, if I know where KB is.

1/2/42.

Dive is way too careful to find something as juicy as that. I have been playing him for a while, but we re-started after I Midway'ed him in may of 42 with only the loss of the Hornet, all others undamaged. I sank 4 or 5 carriers (pure luck). My China situation was a disaster, and he had lost the KB, so we agreed to start over having learned our lessons.

never engage the KB , unless its invading Hawaii, till late 42, unless u have no other choice, try and use several task fvorces as bait, like a surface force of a couple cruisers and destroyers and an asw force and the AO force so they have sumthin else to aim at

I was reinforcing Canton Is., and had reason to believe he had invasion forces heading there (recon flights). My CV's were guarding my reinforcements when Vals and Kates hit my minelayers heading back to PH. I ran the survivors south, and split my CV's into 5 separate TF's. I ran them north. He got cocky, and I got lucky.

Sure it was. And Chungking was about to fall. We were both learning the game, and now are in a fight to the death. He is doing better in places, and so am I. China is well on the way to impregnable. <g>

Hmmmm... Good idea. In 11 turns the Yorktown shows, and my ships should be about 100%. I believe I might, if I know where KB is.

Hoboy. Raiding Kwajalein against a human opponent is a ballsy excursion, men. Tarawa, maybe; Baker, okay if he plants some Bettys there for naval search/raids, but going within SBD range of Kwa this early can get you killed very fast. Those LBA are somewhat fragile, but Ms Betty and Ms Nell, escorted by LB Zeros, could give the USN a bouncing they'd not soon forget. Travel with care, it's a very long war that is the Allies to lose.

its a risk yes but i think itll be worth it

i think im gonna retake Baker, try and make him react to me and knock him offf balance

or maybe ill go after Tarawa, there cant be that many troops there yet

ive got Enterprise, Saratoga and Lexington and in 3 weeks ill have Yorktown

plus ive almost got all the VFs flying F4F-4s

ill use the TBDs for ASW Patrol and maximize SBD and F4F loadout
