How does Harpoon model data fusion? It's constantly calculating areas of uncertainty surrounding multiple targets being tracked by multiple sensors and so it struck me that it was potentially one of the most sophisticated internal parts of the game. In light of that, I got curious and figured I'd ask.

The thing I'm wondering, though, is that if you just strictly triangulate positions of multiple targets, it's possible to come up with more than one solution for the positions of targets and I was wondering how Harpoon resolved that and took the ambiguity into account and actually had the Kalman filtering built in, or if it was left out. If it did take that into account, I'd be really impressed.
