Germany - Sp '43: Yep, great game so far all. I hope Tojo has some secret weapons up his sleeves. Army groups North and South press forward with continued heavy losses for both sides. The war at sea continues the Italy naval air arm remind why it isn't worth wasting money on them. A couple of convoys are sent to the bottom. A little better snapshot of the war in the east is provided.

turn sent to Haudrauf.

The IJN was caught by surürise by the heavy attack on our carrier fleet. Now the home land is in danger and US carriers block Tokyo. A heroic submarine commander was able to break the blockade and sink an US carrier cruising the Chinese sea. Although the boat was damaged the commander survived and was awarded with the highest medal available.

Germany resumed its brutal assault on the Russian interior this Spring, causing Russia to fall back still further. The appearance of the Western Allies in the Mediterranean is a relief to the fatigued Russian soldiers.

Dahnyul as Russia sends Sp43 turn to Kondor as WA.

Well I had to retreat my naval units from Med. axis air cover is to strong for the moment...
German Ft-s are teched beyond WA Ft-s so engagement over Germany is still delayed... But WA are getting closer to mainland Japan... Siege continues...

Germany - Sum '43: Panzers East! In a bold (or desperate) attempt to keep the pressure on the allies the Wehrmacht put a weak circle around Moscow. At sea 2 transports are sunk.

Turn sent to haudrauf.

And another US carrier together with 2 CAG's is history. The siege of the Japanese homeland is getting more and more expensive for our enemies

Yes it does, but we have to pressure Hirohito to see that expansion will not be tolerated.
Still bulk of the WA forces are in the Pacific... D-Day will be delayed further..
Tokyo express line is formed and now the capital will be in peril... I just hope that SU will hold on a little bit more...
Few attacks where already made against Tokyo airforce... And one veteran battleship is destroyed.

Here are the current troops numbers... Germany has equal number of Ft-s as WA, but WA Ft-s are still technically inferior...
GE subs are 4 4 and they are a real menace!

Germany - Fall '43: The Wehrmacht continues to conduct an enveloping attack around Moscow. The ring has gotten somewhat tighter this turn. At sea 4 transports are sunk or damaged.

Turn sent to Haudrauf.

sorry, it was late and I didn't post before my partner posted his turn.

A quiet, and slightly desperate Summer of 43 for Russia.
Garrisoning its remaining key cities, and temporarily reestablishing a supply route to Moscow.

German troops are too deadly for Russian pitch forks.

The situation for Japan is not amuzing either. The carrier battle put us into a very difficult situation. This time we failed to destroy another US carrier, instead we suffered a damaged CAG and a damaged carrier. **** happens all the time

Russia is desperate, and must do something.

A feeble assault is launched to the south. Limited supplies prevent an assault on the two main German Army Groups which have passed by Moscow. (I have a feeling they'll be back).

Memo to Western Allies: Help! Are you sure Western France isn't vulnerable?

Dahnyul as Russia sends F43 turn to Kondor as Wallies. Good luck partner!

My comp. is again pulling blue screen of death! Something about graphics driver being in an infinite loop... So sorry for the 1+ load count. Luckily I saved after about half an hour into my turn so not everything is lost ;-).

Congratulations to my ally for a great play! Now the axis army is in trouble...
This turn WA took Persia! This is the most important news from my play, from there we can soon supply SU from the south!
France is not open for D-day, but Denmark was soften up a bit. (Lucky FT shot at AA)
Subs where chased with so-so results... HB from England managed to damage one GE trannie in the Baltic sea, but Hitler has plenty of those around from never conducted Sea lion operation...
Manchuria factory was bombed and damaged, few more IJN transports are on the bottom... If I am not mistaken IJN is down to 3 trannies

SU will in a few turns get much needed supplies+ I have outlined GE HB-s on the map... (keep in mind that one is in Rumania!) So I do not belive that GE army could be supplied this winter turn...
Turn forwarded to Doug!

Germany - Winter '44: Great play by Dahnyul. A captured message from the Wolf's Lair to the Stalingrad front reads "Paulus you blithering idiot, how many times do we have to tell you not to use allied troops to guard your exposed flanks." A hand written note on the message reads, "Doh!" Turn devoted to damage control.

file sent to Haudrauf.

Germany musters airborne supplies after neutralising Soviet fighter force. The blockade will fall.

An attack on Gorki was not terribly successful, with two units escaping, while causing heavy losses to Russia.

Gorki went just fine!

WA started to engage axis troops, little attrition wars just to test equipment...
Another arty damaged in TLC (it is only one on the cost-everything is sent to SU, to bad that is bad weather-D day delayed).

But Japan is in real trouble! Now is totally isolated and there is no help in sight!
Turn forwarded to Doug.

Germany - Spr '44: In Russia the encirclement of Paulus is broken and Moscow is once again isolated. Africa and the Middle East are reinforced. Romanian troops join forces with Scottish rebels and Edinborough is liberated. The Luftwaffe attempts a major raid on London with heavy losses to both sides.

Russia stands firm. It is now tired of these interlopers running rough shod over our homeland.

However, we have a few logistical...challenges.

Meanwhile, China has begun to reclaim its territory. This spring we liberate the area in and around Peking.

This turn the WA relieved Hirohito from his duty! Honshu is down!
After air&naval bombardment WA soldiers have taken the Japan capital... (This game A-bomb is nowhere in sight!)
Unfortunately I was unable to open a second front in the Europe... And supplying SU from south or north is not doable...
Militia unit in Scotland deserves a medal! It has damaged two of mine infantry unit!
Sub war continues all over the world, and the toll is great on both sides...
Soon all of WA vengeance will be laid on Hitler troops!

ps. Stalin, keep your pants on for a little while

Germany - Sum '44: The devastation in the East continues with a scorched earth strategy on both sides. The ring around Moscow has tightened while the rest of the army pushes east. Elsewhere, the newly rebuilt factory in Scotland is bombed and one sub is active in the Atlantic. The Atlantic Wall, Med, Africa and the Middle East are reinforced. A lavish bunker has been set aside in Berlin for our friend Hirohito.

Turn sent to everyone because I'm not sure if Haudrauf still has to log in now that Japan is gone.

Well, the Big Grey Meanie has been rolling his big ole' tanks around the Russian Steppe at will. Which is odd, because none of the Russian soldiers are named Will.

Anyway, not much to do except hunker down and cringe.

Dahnyul as Russia sends Summer 44 turn to Dalibor as Western Allies.

I think I let my partner down again.

After Japan out of the way, plans for Germany are being made... First we cleared the sky over continent by damaging/destroying all the FT-s + HB over Berlin... As continent is well garrisoned we will have to find some hole for D-day... But not quite yet there...
First Berlin factory is damaged and the rest will surely follow...
Lone sub in Atlantic is sent to dry docks, but 6 of them are still hiding (some in Baltic sea, some in Med..)

My partner has not let me down! He is still in this fight, altough fighting alone against superior wehrmacht troops! That is quite an accomplishment for a new player...
I must say that Dahnyul has come far (and fast to) from the start of this tournament

Germany - Fall '44: With our ability to conduct offensive operations coming to a close one last push is made against Russia. Moscow and the Urals hold against our attack. The Luftwaffe is rebuilt from scratch. A picture of the European and African theater is provided.

Likely survived the only major attack from Germany that did not fully succeed. However, strength of Russian forces is extremely compromised.

Thanks for small blessings:

You can lower the count after my turn. But atlantic wall still holds...
So maybe a different rout will be needed ;-).
Air battles over Europe continues, and Luftwaffe cannot stand such losses for long...
4 more factories damaged in W. Berlin!
Doug plays a great defense so far, and WA must fight for every inch of the ground... Iraq for one. Again axis troops hold their ground even faced with large destruction...
Every turn Hitler dishes some subs out to Atlantic and each time they are destroyed/damaged, but next turn here they are again!
When will they see the light?

I fear that SU will be out next turn or two... It will be the race against the clock again...

Germany - Win '45: I wish it were Winter every turn. The Urals are finally taken, but Moscow still stands isolated. Dahnyul put up a heck of a fight. We build more fighters for those dreaded Mustangs to shoot down. Iraq and Africa are reinforced, again. Too bad it ain't snowing there.

turn sent to Dahnyul.

My cunning strategy is to steal all of Germany's bullets by absorbing them into our troops chests. Anyway, I am done like dinner. No chance now as Moscow is truly isolated, and is surrounded by superior troops.

Good luck Western Allies!
