Well, the team won after all...1-1, baby!

Oh, and as a Jaguars fan, I am not exactly looking forward to the remainder of this season. Ugh.

I can't get back to my team. I got lazy and was using the autolink thing from Yahoo and it booted me. I could swear my manager name was benn44 but it won't let me back in...neither will the password retrieval thing work as it calls up some old sign in.

Can someone go to the Matix classic league and find out what the manager name for Mandrake's Maulers is?

BTW...I do realize I sound like a luddite.

Man oh man...one of those weeks. My runners combined for 240 yards. Antonio Gates catches 11 balls. Brandon Marshall catches 7 or 8 for over 130...and not one of them touches the end zone. Argh.

I feel your pain man. Every player in single digits last week and this week the only player in double digits is my kicker

I am five points aghead going into tonight's game and my opponent has only a kicker playing. If he makes 2 field goals I lose....uggh

I'm enjoying both leagues a lot currently (hall of fame & pro) .. always nice when everyone stays active, making moves, etc etc from week to week. Like i've always believe though, fantasy football is in my opinion 5% player knowledge of NFL players, 5% weekly matchups, and 90% luck (on the field luck and players not getting injured luck)

btw, keep me in your thoughts guys. I'll be having open heart surgery on Oct. 22nd. Just send happy wargaming thougths my way! :)

I would hereby like to thank my opponent this week for starting Matt Leinart over Daunte Culpepper. Thanks for that. I'm not going to get too smug yet, though...he has Sammy Morris and Randy Moss against Cincy's excuse for a defense tonight. Even though I still have a couple starters going, as well, one of them is banged up, and the other is Carson Palmer, trying to deal with New England's D. Ick.

And I hope everything goes okay for you, chadandpia. Good luck, man.

Edit : Jesus...from 80 some points up to a whopping 4 point win...that was the most stressful Monday Night Football ever.

You could have Eriks Classic team ... he was gunning to be the first team to have a negative total score until his kicker came through ;)

Wow...yeah, okay, in that matchup this week, so far we each have one whole guy who's produced a TD in our lineup (and yes, I am including TD passes in that)...but that's a whole new level of crap.

So, this week promises to be a real 'high scoring' week in pretty much every Fantasy Football league in existence. No Colts, Steelers, Broncos, 49ers, Lions or Bills...good lord.

Kickers and punters fantasize about football whilst sitting on the bench, unloved and unaccepted by their uniformed brethren, cast aside like circus freaks.

This has been the most competitive Football competition we have had! With all the great new games out, and the funky year we've had this year (more players than ever have had "big days" and those that have been 'Locks' for good days NOT the "usual suspects" - its been a terrifically exciting FF year! I can only imagine the twists these leauges are going to take. I sense UPSETS GALOR these last few weeks...

Truly, it has been an unusual season, way more surprises, injuries and changes in player and team performances than last year - I can't believe the Zoidbergs' record for one, they've had precisely the wrong matchups every week. Being that low in W-L with such high total points is very bizarre.

Ya, Zoidbergs could be the number 6 seed, but the team to beat

The playoff picture is starting to resolve itself! In the Classic league Ferrisvile Ironmen is the only team to clinch going into the final week at 9-3! Kyzbp Agents is the only one of the 5 teams at 7-5 who has effectively clinched with 820, And Hamburg 49ers with 743 could steal the 6th playoff spot from Bombs away, with a big win and poor showin by BA... Mandrake's Maulers and Pack o' Pain can only lose their spots is TOny Romo Scores like 10 touchdowns for Shiny Happy People agaisnt the Pack...

*1. Ferrisville Ironmen 9-3-0 .750 856 W-2 3 -
2. Kyzbp Agents 7-5-0 .583 820 L-3 8 19
3. Mandrake's Maulers 7-5-0 .583 776 W-3 10 20
4. Pack o'Pain 7-5-0 .583 763 W-1 9 25
5. Drunken Armadillos 7-5-0 .583 739 W-1 6 1
6. Bombs Away 6-6-0 .500 761 W-1 12 41
7. Shiny Happy People 6-6-0 .500 603 L-1 4 -
8. Hamburg 49ers 5-7-0 .417 743 L-1 1 -
9. Patton Pending 5-7-0 .417 706 W-1 2 47
10. USS America Tsunami 5-7-0 .417 560 L-1 11 15
11. Belching Moose 4-8-0 .333 695 L-1 7 16
12. Monkeys 4-8-0 .333 579 L-2 5 6

In the Hall of Fame League, with two games to go, no one has clinched a playoff spot yet! 7 team are mathematically still in it, but the 5-7 Tri-River I-beamers needs some spectacular scoring an both 7-5 teams to go 0-2. The real contest for the 4th playoff spot is between USNA, KYZBP Agents and Northern Horde, with Black Jacks at three unable to rest on his laurels at 8-4. Pack o'Pain and The Sophisticats are tied atop the league at 9-3, 2 losses with poor point totals are required for them to lose out. Billybob Redskins did get some satisfaction, getting his first win of the season against the Sophisticats - the number 1 team! THe five point difference being the -5 points Ben Rothlesberger scored for Vinny - he would have gotten a tie had he left Big Ben riding pine!!! On any given Sunday baby!!!!

1. Pack o'Pain 9-3-0 .750 3272 W-2 9 39
2. The Sophisticats 9-3-0 .750 3111 L-1 10 37
3. Black Jacks 8-4-0 .667 3165 W-5 4 43
4. USNA 7-5-0 .583 3253 W-1 3 18
5. Kyzbp Agents 7-5-0 .583 3087 L-1 7 24
6. Northern Horde 6-6-0 .500 2891 L-1 8 53
7. Tri-River I-Beamers 5-7-0 .417 2836 L-2 1 -
8. Bay Area Knightmares 4-8-0 .333 2985 L-5 5 15
9. Fair Warning 4-8-0 .333 2968 W-1 2 19
10. Billybobok Redskins 1-11-0 .083 2476 W-1 6 17

In the Pro League, only Drunken Armadillos is eliminated. This league has been topsy turvy, with the team with the highest point total, ziodbergs at 7089, one of three 5-7 teams and might not make the playoffs! And he plays the only team mathmatically eliminated - will Drunken Armadilos knock the number 1 point scoring team (but always seemingly playing the "hot team of the week") OUT of the Playoffs!?!? Barbarians, Bay Area Knightmares, Pack o'Pain and Pound cake are all in, and Arlington Avalanche, The Sophisticats, and the aforementioned ziodbergs all at 5-7 will be battling for the last two playoff spots and it won;t be easy with Arlington Avalanche playing number 2 Bay Area Knoghtmares (who locks a bye with a victory) and The Sophisticats going agaisnt number 1 Barbarians. Pack o'pain plays Pound cake - both 7-5 with the winner perhaps able to steal a first round bye with a big win and lose by either of the top 2! Every game this last week of the season has significant playoff implications!

*1. Barbarians 8-4-0 .667 6870.49 L-1 8 16
*2. Bay Area Knightmares 8-4-0 .667 6406.17 W-2 6 25
*3. Pack o'Pain 7-5-0 .583 6946.59 W-1 2 34
*4. Poundcake 7-5-0 .583 6292.81 L-2 3 22
5. zoidbergs 5-7-0 .417 7088.88 W-2 1 20
6. Arlington Avalanche 5-7-0 .417 6607.53 L-1 4 38
7. The Sophisticats 5-7-0 .417 6372.19 L-6 5 33

The Classic League moves into the first round of the playoffs this week. THe results of week 13 were:

Drunken Armadillos 94 Pack o'Pain 68
#
USS America Tsunami 61 Hamburg 49ers 14
#
Monkeys 47 Mandrake's Maulers 71
#
Shiny Happy People 98 Belching Moose 55
#
Bombs Away 66 Kyzbp Agents 62
#
Patton Pending 58 Ferrisville Ironmen 49

*1. Ferrisville Ironmen 9-4-0 .692 905 L-1 3 3
*2. Mandrake's Maulers 8-5-0 .615 847 W-4 10 22
*3. Drunken Armadillos 8-5-0 .615 833 W-2 6 1
*4. Kyzbp Agents 7-6-0 .538 882 L-4 8 20
*5. Pack o'Pain 7-6-0 .538 831 L-1 9 26
*6. Bombs Away 7-6-0 .538 827 W-2 11 43
7. Shiny Happy People 7-6-0 .538 701 W-1 4 -
8. Patton Pending 6-7-0 .462 764 W-2 2 50
9. USS America Tsunami 6-7-0 .462 621 W-1 12 16
10. Hamburg 49ers 5-8-0 .385 757 L-2 1 -
11. Belching Moose 4-9-0 .308 750 L-2 7 18
12. Monkeys 4-9-0 .308 626 L-3 5 6

VERY competitive with 9 Teams within a game of making the palyoffs and the second bye being decided by 14 points over the season! Shiny Happy People made a strong surge, but a few weeks leaving the team abandoned when it looked like they wer out possibly cost a plyoff spot - having left much of the 126 point deficiet on the bench. A good example of why even when you are going through a tough streak, winnin wise - total season points can be CRUCIAL down the stretch. Ferrisville ironmen are the team to beat and the playoffs shape up thusly:

Quarterfinal(1) Ferrisville Ironmen Bye
Quarterfinal(4) Kyzbp Agents(5) Pack o'PainView Matchup
Quarterfinal(3) Drunken Armadillos(6) Bombs AwayView Matchup
Quarterfinal(2) Mandrake's Maulers Bye

The Hall of Fame League enters its final week with two of the four playoff spots decided. and three teams vying for the last 2 spots.

*1. Pack o'Pain 10-3-0 .769 3566 W-3 8 40
*2. The Sophisticats 10-3-0 .769 3399 W-1 9 42
3. USNA 8-5-0 .615 3643 W-2 3 20
4. Black Jacks 8-5-0 .615 3432 L-1 4 53
5. Kyzbp Agents 7-6-0 .538 3252 L-2 7 25
6. Northern Horde 6-7-0 .462 3066 L-2 10 55
7. Bay Area Knightmares 5-8-0 .385 3269 W-1 5 15
8. Fair Warning 5-8-0 .385 3230 W-2 2 19
9. Tri-River I-Beamers 5-8-0 .385 3048 L-3 1 -
10. Billybobok Redskins 1-12-0 .077 2657 L-1 6 17

My Pack o'Pain has come on late to take first place from long time leaue dominator Sophisticats and have the first two playoff spots locked up at 10-3. USNA has the third spot all but locked up with an 8-5 record and a league leading 3643 total points making it all but impossible for Kyzbp Agents kncking them out from nearly 300 total points back. Black Jacks is solidly in the 4th playoff spot, and at nearly 200 points ahead it will require a hue day for Kyzbp and a total meltdown to lose the 4th spot.

THe Matrix Pro league Also moved into the playoffs this week and the week 13 matchups resolved like this:

Poundcake 463.66 Pack o'Pain 481.34
#
Barbarians 584.49 The Sophisticats 500.10
#
zoidbergs 611.53 Drunken Armadillos 586.32
#
Bay Area Knightmares 572.28 Arlington Avalanche 645.14

I actually went to bed thinking that I had lost vs Poundcake in a close game, but a couple of my defensive players had stat updates that gave me the victory! AND a first round bye...
Sophisticats loss took them out of the playoffs and the final standings look like:

*1. Barbarians 9-4-0 .692 7454.98 W-1 8 17
*2. Pack o'Pain 8-5-0 .615 7427.93 W-2 2 38
*3. Bay Area Knightmares 8-5-0 .615 6978.45 L-1 6 28
*4. Poundcake 7-6-0 .538 6756.47 L-3 3 29
*5. zoidbergs 6-7-0 .462 7700.41 W-3 1 22
*6. Arlington Avalanche 6-7-0 .462 7252.67 W-1 4 39
7. The Sophisticats 5-8-0 .385 6872.29 L-7 5 33
8. Drunken Armadillos 3-10-0 .231 6256.22 L-1 7 5

zoidbergs has been on a roll and as stated last team, is the team to beat now that the matchups have been working out more reasonably! Here is the playoff bracket:

Quarterfinal(1) Barbarians Bye
Quarterfinal(4) Poundcake(5) zoidbergs
Quarterfinal(3) Bay Area Knightmares(6) Arlington Avalanche
Quarterfinal(2) Pack o'Pain Bye

Good luck to everybody these last 3 weeks!

The Classic league is down to 4. Payton Manning and the Vikings defense had enough to get me a 1 point win to earn the right to play the number 1 seed Ferrisville Ironmen. Drunken Armadillos rode strong performances by Drew Brees and Marion Barber to face Mandrakes Maulers.

The Hall of Fame League has Black Jacks facing my Pack o'Pain, while USNA will go against Sophisticats.

The Pro League saw the up and down Arlington Avalanche - who has had some of the high scores over the season, was knocked off by Bay Area Nightmares thanks to Marcus Truffant and BRandon Marshall. Zoidbergs narrowly knocked off Poundcake by just 11 points on the backs of Tom Brady and Wes Welker. Barbarians faces zoidbergs and my Pack o'Pain faces Bay Area Knightmares.

Good Luck to all!

The Finals for the Matrix Fantasy Leagues are riding on high hopes for tonights Vikings - Bears matchup!

In the Classic league Drunken Armadillos has beaten Mandrakes Maulers thanks to big days for Drew Brees and the San Diego Defense. Decent performances by Andre Johnson and Rob Bironas for the Maulers could not make for a dismal day by Derek Anderson in the snow. In fact it was a day that saw several QBs on whose backs several teams made their seasons have disaterous melt-downs! The other game has my Pack o' Pain leading Ferrisville Ironmen 38 -27 - but with Ryan Longwell and the Vikes D still on my roster and Robbie Gould and Bernard Berrian still to play for the Ironmen. The odds are with me I think, but stranger things have happened this season! Like the consolation game in this league being decided by 2 points 81-79 - scores that BOTH would have beaten ALL 4 teams in the semi-finals!!!

In the Hall of Fame League, Sophisticats is up over USNA 239-175 with S-cats still to see how Tavaris Jackson and Chester Taylor do, while USNA still has Bernard berrian, Adrian Peterson and Robbie Gould. The advantage is to the S-cats - but you never know with the year AP is having! In the other game - a QB meltdown of monumental proportions for my Pack o' Pain - Last week Trent Edwards and Ton Brady combined for 117 ponts - this week they combined for 2 (TWO) with Brady netting a -1 and Edwards a whole 3. Showing the power of my roster, I am still currently the high scoring team with 244, but Black Jacks is a mere 11 points down with the Minnesota D and Ryan Longwell still to play - the same two I have in my classic game...Odds are remote that they will only combine for 11 or less points... so I'm readying my concession speech to Black Jacks! In the consolation bracket Northern Horde got by Bay Area Nightmares by a slim 233-231 score and Fair Warning has defeated Kyzbp Agents 156-100.

In the Pro league, Barbarians has a 485 -437 point advantage over zoidbergs, with Barbarians still holding Brian Urlacher, but Zoidbergs Chester Taylor and Antoine Winfield. Zoidbergs needs to hope AP goes down or Chester breaks off a couple lon ones on thrid downs and 'Toine runs a pick back for a TD!. My Pack o'Pain enjoys a 512 - 430 lead over Bay Area Knightmares - who needs a miraculous performance from E.J. Henderson to overcome the 80+ point deficit. In the consolation game Poundcake has a comfortable 498 to 412 lead over Arlington Avalanche with Lance Briggs and Cedric Griffin respectively yet to play for each team.

So desperate hopes run high on tonights game! Good Luck!

Well the finals are set!

In the classic League I Defend the House against with Peyton Manning, the Vikings defense and Clinton Portis aginst Drunken Armadillos featuring Drew Brees, Marion Barber and Brian Westbrook.

In the Hall of Fame league its Black Jacks featuring TO, Larry Fitzgerald, Aaron Stecker and Jason Witten against Sophisticats featuring Ben Roethlisberger, Randy Moss, Marques Colston and Ryan Grant.

In the Pro League ITs the only 1 v 2 matchup as my Pack o'Pain featuring Brett Favre and Greg Jennings, Braylon Edwards and Willie Parker on Offense and Nick Barnett and Karlos Dansby on Defense; taking on Barbarians featuring Jay Cutler, TJ Houshmandzadeh, and Joseph Addai on OFfense and Brian Urlacher and DeMarco Ryans on D.

Hi I am the "Coach" of the Black Jacks. I am going to need a big game out of (ugh) Jon Kitna to compensate for Big Ben's performance. Good luck, and Paul, thank you and all the matrix people for a very fun Fantasy Football season!! Merry Christmas to All!!!

I've got the Sophisticats. Right now I am up 108-100. T-O helped you a lot and Stecker has 2 TD's for ya right now.

Well, in the Classic league I'm down 4 going into the Vikes-skins game with Drunken Armadillos needing Chris Cooley to score 4 less than Ryan Longwell and the Vikes D (tie goes to the better record - him!) or better to hold onto the victory!

In the Hall of Fame, Sophisticats is down by 3, but still has Chester Taylor toniht and Rivers and the SD D tomorrow. Black Jacks has to hope for another high stat Vikes' D game and Longwell getting several FGs!

And in the Pro league - I was decimated by 3 first quarter injiries and a 2nd quarter injury coming up 30 points short. COngrats to Barbarians - who looks to be our first winner!
