Now playing: The Outfield - "Play Deep"

A great 80's album that I had and lost on vinyl over 25 years ago and just recently re-acquired.

Trying to work out my final 20 (of 50) and I really haven't helped myself. I watched an old Abba concert and...... I have one Abba toon so far. There could easily be another four

I'd link her FB page, but y'all is likely pathologically paranoid about FB :) (and you might even have a reason).

So here is an image taken of her Spotify page, that shows you (and her hard to pronounce name for search purposes).

This young lady is friggin incredible.

Stravinsky: The Rite of Spring - Chicago Symphony Orchestra/Ozawa
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fY3g9prq8yU
The first performance of Stravinsky's score famously caused a riot and it still sounds pretty wild over a hundred years later.

Debussy: Voiles - Michelangeli
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrVyQhUM5C4
Debussy's unusual tonality and harmonies often create a sense of mystery in his works and never more so than this piece from book one of the preludes.

Sibelius: Violin Concerto - Kyung Wha Chung/Previn
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56vWmZ1Z6GM
Fabulous playing from Kyung Wha Chung. The orchestra also does a great job and the sound recording is excellent.

Okay so I have to have at least one Christmas Carol and there are so many to choose from. Ultimately I will go with my old mum's favourite (assuming there will only be space for one). Not sure I like the ending on this version, but the Carol is so beautiful.

No.31 Once In Royal David's City

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TT3cfXd3Shk

And I guess by the same token I should have a hymn. Again there are a number of possible choices for what is likely to be one slot. This edges it as I recall watching a program about blind children when I was younger - and this was featured in the program. The hymn's beauty and sadness set against that backdrop has stayed with me.

No.32 The King of Love My Shepherd Is

I find the Synthwave is very productive for work and sometimes as background for CMO. Its a mix of 90/80s sounding vibes and electronic music. Unable to post a link due to newbie restriction, but there is a lot on youtube.

Anthrax, but darn, the track was just 50 seconds long? Anthrax - 13 on YouTube
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwO2K1zbYTo

I move on then since i listen as i type. That album above i have on vinyl but without a player to go with it so YouTube is a blessing in disguise.
I take it to the most known song on that album, a live clip of the song Antisocial which as well i read is NOT made by Anthrax themselves which is to read in the YouTube comment field comments, i saw before.
But sort of the kind of music that i regularly listen to, metal, hard rock, but also music wise all over the place in music genres for me.
Heck i can enjoy a Britney song occasionally as well.
Antisocial

Music fills the gap when there´s nothing else to do, and such a good filler it is.

Music is joy so come and rock me Amadeus?

Footnote: Lol, oh i see now. (Comparing my music taste with others).
I TOLD all in a comment before that i´m into filthy hardcore stuff, it doesn´t rhyme with the crowd perhaps. Too bad, i´m me, no shame in that.
(Not for anyone else neither, we´re all unique and OK).

Swedish Meshuggah anyone? Now this will blow your SOCKS off, ready, steady go!

Have a look at my Bleed player "print screen" production in the comments attachment files anyone? Please, humor me (hug me, kiss me, want me) /Seinfeld reference.
Nah, but it goes to waste since i wasn´t able to put it into the comment for some reason? I tried several times but the pic just won´t show up. Became rather good taken from the YouTube player, a small rescaling of it in Irfanview program and no sign of the player there.
The trick was you´ll have to take it as the clip plays since otherwise all the player controls show.

I needed to say this now, thank you.

You can upload up to 3 pictures but only one file will be shown, I think (never tried to upload more than one). If I'm wrong, then try to edit the post. Sometimes the picture is not displayed. When you edit the message, you will see "embed picture in post" or something like that. Make sure the pic is embedded. Maybe you can upload the 3 pictures after all.

I too like Anthrax:

Riders on the storm
Riders on the storm
Into this house we're born
Into this world we're thrown
Like a dog without a bone
An actor out alone
Riders on the storm
There's a killer on the road
His brain is squirmin' like a toad
Take a long holiday
Let your children play
If ya give this man a ride
Sweet memory will die
Killer on the road, yeah
Girl, ya gotta love your man
Girl, ya gotta love your man
Take him by the hand
Make him understand
The world on you depends
Our life will never end
Gotta love your man, yeah
Riders on the storm
Into this house we're born
Into this world we're thrown
Like a dog without a bone
An actor out on loan
Riders on the storm
Riders on the storm
Riders on the storm
Riders on the storm
Riders on the storm

The Doors, Jim Morrison = Excellent! Riders on the Storm song name right.
I don´t listen to one but i sure can do that just to post a comment now?
I want some more activity here overall on the forum but it´s like it is i guess.

To salute the good old times and with... Vietnam flashbacks, this song apparently got nothing to do with the war itself, i read one trustworthy comment to this clip about this songs origin and how and why it was made before. Where and why it was made, but alas, the memory of that is hazy so i wont try to recall it in FEAR of spreading false information now.

Rolling Stones - Gimme Shelter

Lyrics:
Oh, a storm is threatening
My very life today
If I don't get some shelter
Oh yeah, I'm gonna fade away

War, children, it's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
War, children, it's just a shot away
It's just a shot away

Ooh, see the fire is sweeping
Our very street today
Burns like a red coat carpet
Mad bull lost your way

War, children, it's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
War, children, it's just a shot away
It's just a shot away

Rape, murder!
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away

Rape, murder!
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away

Rape, murder!
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away

The flood is threatening
My very life today
Gimme, gimme shelter
Or I'm gonna fade away

War, children, it's just a shot away
It's just a shot away x 4

I tell you love, sister, it's just a kiss away
It's just a kiss away x 4
Kiss away, kiss away

Footnote: What a rather LOUSY version of the lyrics i copied & pasted, i edited it a little myself.
But obviously, just listening to those lyrics, i´m inclined to admit and assume that what i typed above is not the truth and nothing but the truth. They hint at the war of the time no doubt about it, my choice of words above was bad.

Think for yourself and never let others do it for you. <--- i´m going to use that as one signature here, for now.

"What music am i listening to now?" I wish i could say the cherping <--- the chirping, it´s called chirping? Birds "kvittrar" in Sweden, chirp.
But i want-a-planta and all i hear is my TV in the background. Do YOU people know how sneaky i am? If i want to talk about anything in a thread and to avoid being off topic, it´s easy, you just mix the comment up with both but this was semi on topic now, and now you learned a BRAND NEW Swedish word of today, the word of the day is "kvittra" to chirp, "att kvittra".
A song, i want to make it into a good one so from one of the best bands of all time,
Thin Lizzy - Dancing in the Moonlight
Live performance in rather poor quality but i´m not complaining.

From the album Bad Reputation 1977

Dead Kennedys - California Über Alles Album: Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables (1980)
Lyrics:
I am governor Jerry Brown
My aura smiles and never frowns
Soon I will be president
Carter power will soon go away
I will be Fuhrer one day
I will command all of you
Your kids will meditate in school
Your kids will meditate in school

California Über alles
California Über alles
Über alles California
Über alles California

Zen fascists will control you
Hundred percent natural
You will jog for the master race
And always wear the happy face
Close your eyes, can't happen here
Big Bro on white horse is near
The hippies won't come back you say
Mellow out or you will pay
Mellow out or you will pay

California Über alles
California Über alles
Über alles California
Über alles California

Now it is 1984
Knock, knock, at your front door
It's the suede denim secret police
They've come for your uncool niece
Come quietly to the camp
You'd look nice as a drawstring lamp
Don't you worry, it's only a shower
For your clothes here's a pretty flower
Die on organic poison gas
Serpent's egg's already hatched
You will croak, you little clown
When you mess with President Brown
When you mess with President Brown

California Über alles

Oh beautiful, the song at one point changes into playing the Goodfellas movie theme music.
But of course, Erik Clapton made it, right?
