Wraithverge - Inimicos

http://www.villenoire.net/webekleipsi/Ekleipsi____Obscure_Net-Label/Releases/Entries/2009/3/1_Wraithverge_-_Inimicos.html

Wraithverge is one of my favourite bands. I'm listening to it for two years, almost every day. Also, it's interesting to see a neoclassical music bands with song titles like "No Mercy For The Wicked" or "Behold The Eyes Of Wrath".

Slaak, can you fill our readers in on your stats in this thread? I'm curious as to how many times that you've pumped it up to the top of the forum. Seems kind of inconsiderate, at least in terms of anyone who wants to talk about wargaming.

Cat got your tongue?

Well, let me see if I can get this link to work:

http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/searchpro.asp?author=SLAAKMAN&forumid=8

This is not intended to undermine your position here on the forum.

Still, I think that it'd be really great if the rest of us who are interested in wargaming could be afforded the opportunity to discuss it.

POE what is the issue here? You raised the subject of this thread before. Is it against forum rules to have a music thread? How does Slaakman, redcoat, Perturabo or anyone else posting their music choices from time to time cause war gamers to not be able to discuss war related topics?

Surely this is just a harmless aside? I can only speak for myself but I have personally gained a lot from it; hearing music I would otherwise never have known about, and sharing some of my favourites from time to time.

Edit: for lousy spelling

POE what is the issue here?

Respectfully, work your way up the thread. It's late and I don't care to do the stats right now, but it would appear as though at least half of the recent posts in the thread, recent being a year or more, are from one or two posters. Given that the thread has dominated the forum for many, many months, do you not have a problem with that?

Well, our readers might ask, what are the practical implications of what's gone on? Well, a guy shows up, posts some thoughtful comment about his hobby, and has his post pushed down the thread list by someone who wants to express his preferences in "contemporary music."

IMO, that's simply unfair. Yes, this is the general discussion forum, but its my understanding that the GD in play is supposed to be related to wargaming. Am I wrong in that regard? I'd be happy to hear from a forum admin about this, BTW.

Finally, there are forum regulars that show up at the Matrix forums and want to talk about wargaming. Should they really have to maneuver around a seemingly endless palaver that has absolutely nothing to do with that which brought them here? And I don't believe that's a rhetorical question. Rather, I think that it's the only reasonable question to be addressed.

PoE for me its quite simple:

Like you I would be happy to hear from a matrix moderator as to whether this thread is a problem.

I have absolutely no wish to break any forum rules (nor do I naturally go out of my way to cheese people off!). If the mods say stop then fair enough.

But personally, and unless I am told otherwise by Marix, I do not think there is a problem here and that this is an over-reaction to one thread; hardly an endless palaver around which to navigate if you want to discuss a war game or related historical topic.

Edit: its early and I can't spell or write English

Well, we are agreed in that regard. On the one hand you have a fairly broad set of folks who take the time to try and discuss their hobby in a sober and analytical fashion, hoping to move the ball forward, as it were. On the other hand, you have a truly narrow set of folks who offer the community absolutely nothing, save a link to a youtube video. Are you following me, so far?
