Skyros, I still have Terrible Swift Sword.  What a spectacular game!  (Gettysburg on the regiment level).

I think I still have all my AH games except my very first, Blitzkrieg.  Anyone for a game of Richtoffen's War, 1776, Submarine, Here Come the Rebels, Advanced Third Reich, Tobruk, Midway, Panzer Blitz, or any of about fifteen others?

1959 here.

This thread brings back a lot of memories. This is the CRT from my first wargame. My parents gave me this for Christmas when I was 13, and I never looked back:

Panzer Blitz. Drank many a beers over this game.

A CRT is a Cathode Ray Tube to an engineer.

So, NO 1956.

The Antietam game (Gleam of Bayonets) in that series was good too....it's in my game closet along with about 7 others from that series including Terrible Swift Sword.

The only CRT I had was from my Avalon Hill's Stalingrad which I picked up at auction at my first gaming convention (Neocon, NorthEastOhioCON) back when I was twelve.

So yes (barely) and 1975

1964 and biggest set of CRT I had was the book of them in the SPI War in the Pacific (which Coach Z has been "babysitting" for me for many years).

I remember when my mother went into the SPI store in NYC to buy it for me and they warned her it was really for adults. Perhaps they were right.

1966. First game I ever owned was AH Midway. Dxmn - still love that game! Then it went on to Victory in the Pacific, War At Sea, Tobruk, all the Squad Leader games, Luftwaffe, Third Reich, D-Day, Submarine...the list goes on. I still have most of those games and wish I had the free time to play them all over again.

CRT? What about the dang LOS?

Oh man, that was a good game. Never could get anybody to play for more than a few turns on that one. No one I knew was interested in that era.

Someone claimed to have played CNA somewhere, once, or at least some turns of it, didn't they? What CNA needed was computerisation of the detail tracking - and then it would be like playing........ WitP!

A friend and I started that darn game. We played 1 turn and 2 op stages (2/3 of a turn) before I moved out of town for college. I still like it. Gonna play it someday if I can find someone crazy enough to play.

Hmmmm. I'd be tempted. I'm a few miles away in Pickerington. I have CNA, unpunched and never played

1968

Started with Tactics II at 9 years old then moved on to AH and SPI games. I played Squad Leader, Panzer Blitz/Leader, and Task Force Games Start Fleet Battles the longest.

Currently addicted to WiTP. I am married so not talking to girls is a good thing for me

Not wanting to gross y'all out, but think about this for a second.

He (the home-coming queen) was probably in his own little heaven. It's more likely his "boyfriends" who spent the rest of their lives wondering about their manhood...

Did not play too many board games. Really got into it big time when computer games came along. Remember Empire?
