Congrats Andrew. I have been married for 7.5 years and can't imagine being single anymore

It is good to have several events fall on the same date so they are easy to remember.

October 25: My wife's birthday, the date of my promotion to Det/Sgt, the date I got suspended in 1992
August 14: Best friend's wedding anneversery, my date of hire. I retire on his 20th

Just got home from the 3rd grade Christmas choir concert at my granddaughter's school and saw that I had missed out on the unveiling of the big announcement, and hrrrruummmphhh.

Congratulations to the bride. To the groom I can only say that you caused me a sudden sense of elation followed by an immediate sudden freefall, durn your hide! But in the spirit of the season and event, congratulations to you also.

So tell me, what has your part been in this secret event?

Congratulations!!

Wow and I thought calling Floyd every year @ 12:55 Eastern Time and screaming "TORA TORA TORA" was a good way of remembering Pearl Harbor Day!
Boy did you out do me!
But both my wife's parents were history teachers, and alive in 1941, for some reason I don't think they'd have let us get married on Pearl Harbor Day!

7 Dec 91 (50th anniversary of Pearl Harbor) was the day I got commissioned in the Army.

Congrats! Married on Pearl Harbor day... - reminds me of the wedding speech I had to deliver on my sister's wedding. I included a traditional German saying which roughly translates into "now bride and groom have reached the secure harbor of matrimony" - to which I added in sardonic voice: "Well, remember Pearl Harbor!"

My 12th anniversary will be next May 17th "A date that will live in anonyminity"
