I'm not sure how these 3 items are to be provided to a location. For instance Midway Island is low on aviation support and supplies. I have all my bases set for auto convoy, if that has anything to do with anything. If I have a ship load up supplies from Pearl to deliver them to Midway, do I need to have a ship from San Francisco replacing the supplies that I use from Pearl? Where do all the supplies originate at? What do I do to increase the aviation support at Midway? I'm assuming I need to start stock pileing oil at Hawaii. Is oil originatiing there on the Us coast?

A. Don't use autoconvoy. In fact, never use the the computer control for anything. Ever.

B. You load supplies on AKs - as Allies most supplies will come from US West Coast, you can get some from India (in stock).

C. Don't ship oil to Hawaii. You should ship FUEL there - not oil.

D. Load aviation support units (mostly in Base Force units - check their squad types and look for "Aviation Support") on APs or AKs - mostly from West Coast.

There have been a plethora of similar questions lately - check the War Room subforum for answers to numerous similar questions.

That means that AI decides what you need and where (and when)...not a good choice.

Not necessarily, but you do want to have Pearl stocked with supplies, so it would be a good idea to ship as many there ASAP.

For allies it's mostly from USA (base), San Fran and Karachi (in stock).

Aviation support comes AS squads that are part of base forces and aviation regiments TOE...to increase the aviation support at Midway you'll need to transport another BF/Av.Reg. there (or a part of one).

No industry on Hawaii so no oil needed there...it's originating in the US and the only place worth shipping it to is Australia.

To further elucidate... oil is combined with resources by heavy industry to produce supply and fuel. The US base (in the location of Salt Lake City on Andy's map - I forget where it is on the stock map), San Francisco and Karachi are locations where a huge amount of supplies and fuel are automatically created, so delivering oil and supplies to heavy industry is not anywhere near as important to the allies as it is to the Japanese (who have to bring oil and resources from the conquered areas to Japan to create what they need to run their military).

Fuel is needed to run your ships, all combat and support units need supplies (including your ships). Aviation fuel is abstracted as supplies, which also encompass ammunition, deisel for your tanks, bombs, torpedoes, food, medical supplies, tents, toilet paper, requisition forms, etc...

However, PT boats which actually ran on AvGas need naval fuel in the game.
