Made small update. New scenario version should be 91

Fixed the following
- small garrison in Linhir
- Made Tharwad and Fields of Celebrand larger (from 2k to 5k for playbalance issue)
- Fixed Lorien people from human to all elf.
- Fixed som Mordor people from human to ork
- Fixed engineer event so they go to lorien
- Tried to fix Umbar event so it doesnt always happen on t1
- Gave Rohan possibility to build flyers.
- Made Dragonsm and Great eagles a little stronger 250-280hitpoints.
- Added ARAGORN on turn 6
- Made light cavalry upgradable to light cavalry II
- Tried to fix the compare SFTs in combat bug.
- Made Grond carryable.

Thanks everybody for reporting. Would be very happy if people keep reporting if the fixes work/not work and any new bugs. Did not change cost of infantry. This is intentional and based on the vanilla game so should work gamebalancewise.

Keep reporting/suggesting.

Great stuff do we need to update or will these only affect a new game started?

Sadly it only affects new games. But you can still download it.

I am not sure all fixes worked. Although most should. The update was a 15 min job.

It doesn't matter where I put the files, I get an error when I try to start the scenario, about a lot of missing graphics files. The download page says to put everything along with the AT exe file, but scenario files should be in a sub-folder of the scenario folder, should they not? That usually works, but not in this case. I tried putting them in different places and it still doesn't work.

Exactly where should I put the files? There are 2 folders, one containing the .pt2 file and the other containing graphics.

It should work with in the following way:
The .pt2 file should go under /bin/scenarios
the contents of the "graphics/War of the Rings" folder should go under "/bin/graphics/War of the Rings"

By the way: I also get one graphic missing error message (for the supply graphic) but I think this is no issue for the game.

I have one more suggestion for the game:
My personal understanding is that this is a team game evil vs good. So it might be a suggestion that there is no individual winner but only a side winner and that the victory condition is not that one regime has a certain number of victory points but that the sum of victory points of a side reaches a certain number. So if for example Rohan takes over some VPs from Isengaard this can be countered by Mordor taking over some victory points from Gondor (or vice versa)...

Sorry that doesn't work.

According to the error messages, there should be a folder just above the graphics folder called "realist", but I have no such folder.

@Henri51: you will also need to download and install the "Real mod" from the scenario bank. It should have a folder Realist which needs to become /bin/graphics/Realist

I dont know if you need any more mods....

Nope, still doen't work. I tried putting the graphics folder inside or outside the Realist folder, I still get the same error, except that it doen't mention the Realist folder any more.

There are already files in the Realist folder (on this computer) from the WaW scenario, could that be the reason? The realist file is the Realist2 folder on the download site, right?

Sheesh, I have spent over 2 hours trying to get this to work, something is missing...

and why is the slash in front of the War of the Rings graphics files in the error message in the opposite direction of the other slashes (\ instead of /)?

Yes the mod is the RealMod2 which contains a folder /graphics/Realist. According to my understanding you need to put the folder Realist into the /bin/graphic folder so that you have a folder called /bin/graphic/Realist
I dont think WaW can interfere here.

Well, what is the exact error message you are getting so that people here can maybe understand the issue better.
Dont worry about the opposite \. Once AT finds the files in the right location it will work.

OK, apparently the problem was that I was not installing the ptmaster file that comes with the REalist download. The scenario now loads, but I still get a couple of errors at the start (the Aragorn file and one or two others not found), but if I continue the scenario loads and looks OK. I am not sure, but I may also have been putting in unzipped files

The error messages are file not found messages with the path that the missing file should be under indicated. These are always graphics files in my case.

In sum, one must install the graphics folder in the AT graphics folder, the Realist folder and the Real.ptmaster file in the scenarios folder.I installed the .pt2 file in the human only folder under the scenarios folder, but I don't think that is essential as long as it is under scenarios somewhere.

On this computer I already had a realist folder from the WaW installation, and I replaced it with the new one, but I am not sure whether or not this is necessary.

Thanks for the help - an impressive looking scenario. Any plans for an eventual AI?

@Grymme: I will second this question... Any plans for you as the scenario designer to make some AI available?

Have someone tried to play it against the AI. I am not sure the result would be very bad.

As for me continuing work on this scenario. Right now i háve my hands in a little to many different projects. I might continue work on this sometime, but i have no imediate plans. The major work of this scenario is the map, the nice looking counters and the SFT and research system. Thats all more or less done although it might need some tweaking. What remains, or could remain to be done is some balancing, bug searching. Maybe better events and victory conditions and some AI tweaking. It might happen, but not right now.
