The VC 2nd U Minh Bn is going to convert some hexes and disband. I got confused
about which hexes were ARVN and which were NVA and ended up converting only 1 hex:

I finally got around to calculating the EEV value and I think I did it correctly. But I'm not sure. Anyway, I believe the EEV value is 41 before turn 7 starts. So, excluding all the Allied activation events, that's about 2 points per turn to make it to the goal of 100 points I'm going to need the same pace as previous turns and maybe 30 or 31 turns more should do the trick. That's about 3 years more.

The problem is that I'm running out of choice hexes to convert. Maybe I can get Curt to attack me, thus converting the hex back to Allied control so that I can re-convert it again and maybe get a point for doing so. I can always hope.

It's my understanding that when the EEV value hits 100 the US Allied units have to start pulling out. ANZAC and Korean, and Phillipino ( how do you spell Phillippino ? ) and stuff like that included. I don't know about the air units.....maybe them too.

Then I'll be facing just the ARVN units and maybe the character of this game will change drasticly ( how do you spell drastically ? ).

Anyway, it's going to be interesting.

The EEV calculations above are incorrect (hope I'm not looking at a classified post!).  The current EEV is 28.  NLF activity events add a point to the victory total, not the EEV.  However, having drove the Allied victory level down below -10 at least 1, and maybe 2, penalty points have been added to the EEV.

The Allies are still in a state of buildup.  At this point my counterattacks are limited to provincial capitals and artillery bombardments.  The good news is the independant brigades arrived 2 months earlier than expected.  Congress must have heard my plea.  The VC happy time will soon be coming to an end.

Oh. Okay, thanks for setting me straight. I'll try to watch for the EEV value's on the news summary instead like everybody else.

EDIT: The idea here is to try to force an ARVN unit into the DMZ thus causing some points to be added to the EEV.
