Allied Turn 15, March 1966 -

Things are starting to go my way.  The victory level is now -3 and climbing.  The Delta is 100% under government control.  This means that any VC activity down there will be visible to me.  Other areas of the country are also coming under friendly control.  U.S. personnel losses so far have been very low. The only ongoing enemy activity is the continued shelling of U.S. airbases by VC rocket and mortar units.  I might consider reloacating my in-country air units to Thai or Guam bases.

Nothing much of a pictorial nature happened. I just ran around converting hexes and
disbanding my dudes. And the turn ended here.

Allied Turn 16, Apr 1966 -

While on long range patrol in Kontum, a company of ARVN Rangers engages an unidentified VC rgt.  Six airmobile battalions and supporting artillery from the 1st Cav are choppered in for the attack.  The VC put up an amazing defense and inflict heavy casualties during the first round.  The unit is KIA'd in round 2 but next time I come across this situation I'll attack with a full brigade.

That was the only significant action for the turn.

Allied Turn 17 -

Larry left lots of VC for me to attack.  Don't know if this is a new strategy or if the turn ended before he could disband them.  Anyway it made for an action packed Allied turn, but I got things cleaned up in the end.

Allied Turn 18, Jun 1966 -

The victory level is now +6 Allied favor.  There has only been on VC activation per turn for the last 4 turns.  I was hit hard the previous month but my already in-country forces were able to handle the increased activity.  With those positive markers, I've decided to cease the economic aid program to South Vietnam.  I'll choose the option this turn but the way the events are set up I'll get one more EEV point added before it terminates.

Larry's offensive extends into this turn, but I'm able to restore order with 3 rounds of combat.
