It is a mystery, considering how often problems are reported with them.

T, that was the scary thought that kept my third favorite Dane (you always come second, of course, right after Victor Borge) awake nights...

There was this cat who loved to get drunk, who went to the bar on the other side of the tracks.

He stayed all night long and got so wasted he could barely stand up, much less walk.

The cat starts to stumble home, and when he came to the train tracks, he didn't notice a train coming down the tracks.

As he started to cross the tracks, the train zoomed by, and cut off his tail. The cat turned his head to see the damage, got his head stuck into the side of a speeding box car, and is instantly decapitated.

The moral of the story - don't lose your head over a piece of tail!

Ah, yes, reminds me of an old fable you all have probably heard.

Bird was late flying south for the winter, and flew into a snowstorm. Wings iced up, he lost lift, and crashed to the ground into a farm feedlot.

Just about then, a cow came along and pooped all over him. Bird said to himself, "Oh, brother, this is the end."

Pretty soon, though, the poop warmed him up, and he felt better. So much so, he began to sing.

Along about then, the farmyard cat came walkin' by, heard him, scooped the poop off and ate him.

Three lessons to be learned:

1. Not everybody who poops on you is your enemy.
2. Not everybody who scoops you out of the poop is your friend.
3. No matter how deep in poop you are, whatever you do, keep your mouth shut.

Here's one that has a lesson with which I disagree.

Frog fell into a butter churn full of milk. Farmer came along and closed the lid. Frog figured he was going to drown, but swam and swam and swam, even when completely exhausted, swam and swam.

Eventually, he made butter, which he could sit on and not drown in the milk. Farmer opened up the churn, and frog hopped out to safety.

Now, an old boss of mine told this story at the first staff meeting I went to after being hired into his department. His message was, "See, no matter how bad things seem to be, if you just keep on working and trying, good things will result."

I couldn't restrain myself. I chimed in with, "I dunno. Seems to me the lesson is, if you got butter under your butt and somebody opens the lid, jump."

I was always real popular with employers. It's a wonder I ever made it to retirement without one of 'em pulling out a gun and stabbing me...

One bright morning...
in the middle of the night,
two dead boys came out to fight.
they stood back to back
and faced each other
drew their swords
and shot eachother.
the deaf policeman heard the noise
and came to kill
those two dead boys.
If u dont believe my story
its true ask the blind man he saw it too!

Then, of course, there's what I consider Bob Dylan's finest piece of lyrical poetry (if not his greatest song):

Hi all,

Yesterday I saw in person 103 inch FullHD 1920x1080 Panasonic plasma (yep that's right the diagonal of the screen is 103 inches which is more than 2.5 meters)!

The price tag was 60000 Euros (which is about 100000 US $)!!!

BTW, I have 42 inch Pioneer plasma...

In six months, Panasonic or Samsung or somebody like that will be selling one for about 1,000 Euros.

Personally, I'm looking for a big screen TV that will not only show me all of reality at the same time, but will allow me to fast forward and rewind through the entire expanse of time...

In my library, old friend, it's called "Dante Alghieri."

Let's hope he didn't (although sunblock will not protect him from heat and it would increase sweating)...
