...all windows, lights, etc. are managed by touchscreens, which also stopped working.

I will remember this day as the "Day the Smoking Power Supplies". I suspect the electricians head will roll for this...

When I was on active duty in the Navy, I was an Aviation Electronics Technician. We used to tease the electricians by calling them "One wire's", because they could only follow one wire at a time.

It sounds like the guy working on that building lost track of the wire he was trying to follow.

It was a lot of work today, but I just couldn't stop grinning. The chairman and his deputy are famed in our company for their money spending. All their employees are using cheap office PCs and Notebooks, but for themselves they had ordered the most expensive Macs just for the looks - Mac Book Airs for instance, of course the version with SSDs. And now most of their shiny toys got fried.

Too bad the Macs survived the massacre, I was hoping to see their faces when I installed cheapo office PCs in their residencies (calling their rooms "office" wouldn't do them justice).

Hi all,

Martin, how is final transfer to new PC going?

Any problems with 64 bit Vista or all is OK (with all stuff you installed)?

Depends on where you are. In the southeast, it generally moves from southwest to northeast.

West to east here, but every once in a while the Canadians send us something special, or a storm comes up from the Gulf.
