Just about to finish Beevor's The Battle for Spain. Anybody who thinks civil wars aren't the very worst kind of wars should read that book... AND THEN SHUT THE HELL UP!!!!

Mid-saturday afternoon "hello" .

Still a bit of electricity to do without cutting my fingers .
If you see a great flash, please take care of my wife

It would be a great flash for us to see it from where we are I hate electricity, too many wiggly lines (and as my dad put it, "white man's magic" ) which is why I entered the world of mechanical stuff

Is it a difficult job you're doing?

One of my instructors in electronic warfare use to feel the same way. After an afternoon of trying fruitlessly to explain to a clueless group of airmen how a particular sysytem worked, he finally said....."and of course the system is FM...". "You mean frequency modulated?"...asked one of the brighter studnets. "No I mean it's Foo-king magic" , explained the instructor.

Starting my Father's Day weekend right.  Had a great dinner out with my lovely bride last night, slept in until almost 10 this morning, wife and son are out shopping for a "surprise" for me, US Open is on the boob tube, and I have a fresh pot of hot

Life is good.

Not really. Putting some stuff on the light hanging from the ceiling (yeah, the words "some stuff" is because i don't know the word for "lustre" .
So as the electric wire is toooooooo long , i cut a part of it, i nake (verb???) the copper wire, i put it in the "sugar" (once again it's a direct translation !!), then i screw the "sugar" , i put it back in place at the ceiling, and then i put the electricity back, and then....there is no light, oh damn, i must have make something wrong .
Long, but once i've try for the first time, i know what to do.
And tonight we have a pretty ceiling .
(ok, for those who want to understand, just translate the right word from french )

Yeapee tomorrow i'm going for father's day to visit my father-in-law .
Well, ok, tomorrow evening is "music fest" in Europe (don't know if you get this in USA), so i think me and Misses Gladiatt are going to have a walk in town in order to listen some good music (if no rain of course).

Police security Martin... not driving by themselves...

Same thing when W. Bush and Putin were here... the security simply shut down the center of the city (and I live there) when they moved around (even trams and buses stopped) and they completely closed road to airport when they arrived and departed...
