Me and Borner decided the best thing to do with the bug and the Japanese soldiers was for him to drop them and destroy them. Hopefully that fixes the game error.

Borner invades Nevea.

Borner comes a little closer.

Nevea captured by 4,000 Allied soldiers using fast transport. Several DD´s hit mines. 700 Japanese soldiers lost.

Ahhh, but a signal of things to come. A few mines at Nevea. At least a few thousand at bases important.

ike and his mine war. i bet if you want to visit ike and swim in his swimming pool you must first be sure that there are no mines there before jumping in.

IKE's mine war is going to be behind schedule. One of his remaining operational ML's went ot the bottom this turn. He is not going to have nearly as many mines as he wants to.

Tanker with 1 torpedo hit, will survive. Sub sunk, what sub? No subs were hit.

Another DD that will be in dock for a few months. Not much more. Ike seems to be focusing his Sub mines at this island. that's fine, as nothing has been damaged badly enough to be at risk of sinking.

3 more AP's lost for Japan in the last two turns..... Not much, but it's a start.

apperas the hunting NW of Rabaul is good. an s-class mananged to put 5 4" shells into yet another ap this turn. Too bad they do not have enough fuel to stay on station long up there

The IJN get two big minelayers early in the game, Tsugaru and Okinoshima. Each can drop 600 mines at a time. If you sink these two the IJN loses 50% of its ML capability.

Believe me, they might only be worth a few points in the game, but overall each is as valuable as a CV to the Jap player.

Also, I have just realised after looking in the ship editor that sub layed mines are more powerfull than ship layed mines.......I had always thought it was the other way round! You learn something new every day

2 torps into one of his huge AP's this turn.

Great point Miller. Okinoshima took 2 torps before we had to go back because of his troops showing up everywhere, then took one after that, and Tsugaru took some good damage early but made port I beleive. 2 of his smaller ones are sunk, and another couple of them hit. Early on I put all my S-class around Lugna and Irau in hopes of catching his ML's, and found a couple. He also has lost 4 of his minesweepers, that hopefully will hurt over time as my named subs get to laying more minefields...... seeing as they are not useful for much else yet.

That is suprising, I had no idea. I assumed it was the opposite.

Sorry to disappoint IKE, but that sub will only need a week in port or so. The crew was due for liberty anyway

IKE sends his carriers NW of Luganville, and his planes fly on the port. Nothing sunk, we will see if my carriers can catch his. Most of my subs have now had to leave the Rabaul area to re-load. It was fun while it lasted.

33 Vals lost for nothing.......and its not like Ike to commit his strength to offensive operations unless he thinks its worth the risk.

Trying to get his mine sweeper groups going between Nevea and Luganville, spotted the wrong group.

No chance of pulling me into your land based air. I kept at extended range. I did that mistake the last game remember?
