timing out again while trying to post

slowly pushing the enemy back, and breaking anything that don't get out of my way

look at the WTF numbers, they are getting higher on both sides, that means the reinforcements are reaching the battle

the night has been good to my enemy, his numbers are up, his morale is up, he is ready for battle when the sun comes up

at times like this, it would be interesting to know the enemy, and know what he is thinking

during the night, he finds out his Friends have come to his aid, he has held the enemy during the day, and now, he will be able to hold and push the enemy back

did he have his orderly, pour him and his friends some wine, while they looked over the map, and plan out the defeat of there enemies, once he released them to get there troops in place and bedded down to get what rest a solders can get while a battle is beyond the dawn

when he laid down, to get his bit of rest before the great day, did he smile, and wonder what his foe would say when the sun came up, did he dream of what honors and glories were about to fall upon his shoulders

what were his thoughts, before the sun came up ?

they are holding out better then I expected, the terrian is very good for the, I can't mass, and my reinforcements have low morale, so can't form my lines too well

panic is beginning to set in for the Ossites, but I have take two of the 3 VHs just in case and have the 3rd, locked down

he has held as long as he can, his panic is up to -16, with -12 for losses, he is all but broke, this morale is shattered

a good battle

once my enemy stops running and get to lay down, again I wonder what his dreams with be of, glories lost, what could of been, or will he be worried about will be

a good turn, I finally took Prussia, they are now gone and they have some good lands, lots of food and wool, and Iron

Sweden is shut down, just waiting for them to figured it out, while I sit in there Captiol

I pick up two more Guns from the Ossites, but they are pretty poor

I also earned a 2 star General for the battle

I have taken too long to take out the East, Prussia really though a wench into the gears, but the East should be quiet and peaceful for a while now, I got a little over 4 years, to finish my goals

that means a short war with Turkey (like everybody and there brother already), take what I want from NA, Spain is the main hassle, they are going to be tuff, so a long HARD total war is coming, plus I need to land in England, always a joyful time, they do not have many troops, but the got good troops, and will be a ruff fight, but since I need Ireland, I may just sent my diplos to cause some trouble

I pretty much got waste and ecc under control, so I have time to get ready

since my game already in the middle/end game, I never said or showed what the game settings where, so I figured I should show that also

game has 50 months to go, my goals in the mainland are pretty much done, I now need to pick on Spain (no match for my troops, but a Royal pain for Total war)

I need to defeat England, or at least play fancy with my Diplos, landing in England is always a pain

and I need to go land in NA and beat up the Turks, I made a nice offer to the Turks, but they turned me down, Nappy does not like that

as Matto says, once the game "ends" you are asked if you want to keep going, I have finished a number of 26 year (thought it was 26) campaigns in CoG, I have painted the whole of Europe French Blue a few times

but over all would say, if you can't do so, in the time given, , there is really not much reason to go on :)

I not shown this page, as before, we were told to keep the Strat part out of the story, but that has been lifted some

so here is part of the goal/event screen for the Path of Nappy

I need to score 166 "points" before the end of the time limit you ar giving

as you can see, some of those can be pretty HARD to do, peace with Russia and having more large ships then England

, the taking land I can do

as I said before, I have done my part out East, now I need to take out Spain and Hurt England and make a landing in NA, each one while major, is doable, the hassle comes in, that I got to do all 3 at the same time, and I am running a little short on Armies (Armees)

the first battles in England are always a Royal Pain, but, once you win there, England will fall (but you don't get anything good for doing so, as England is a Island, but you can take some of the Med islands which is part of your goal)

Spain, while they can not really stand in a toe to toe fight with French, there is a lot of land that needs to be taken, and to gain the goals, it is going to need to be a Total war (or a lot of small wars, but I waited too long to do it that way)

NA is a cake walk, but, need a Fleet to get my troops there

and of course, time to do so, 49 months left, time is running out, even more so, as you don't want to start your wars in the winter

ahhhh no, the Greatest General (in my mind at least) forgot a one little thing, I can't go to war with Spain, as long as Spain is at war with a Enemy that I am at war with also, I have to take out the English, to be able to go to war with Spain

Nappy lands in York, Armee du Guns and the Batavian Army lands to the south

hmmm, neither by them selfs are strong enough to take London, but bring my other Army, and it will be a decent battle

150,000 north and south, will get there attention, I have another small Army to bring in and maybe my building army will be able to move in for reinforcements

the other half of the Grand is down south getting ready for the move on Spain, would like to see them up north

the battle for England (with out a Major Fleet, England is not much, but the main Battle for London is normally a major affair)

my two landings take place like clock work, reinforcements even make it on time

the 2nd round more troops land, 4 Armies in the south, and one in the North, if the main English army comes out to fight, it is in trouble, if it stands in place, it will get slaughtered when I am ready to move

it is nice when it a plan works out, even better, when it is a done on the fly

try it :)

I think in the old days, I was the one who proved it could be done, and then there were some rule changes to change how it worked

but, so saying, if the English control, or can contest the channel, it can't be done, and the English Home Army is the best in the world at this time, so if and when you hit London, be ready for a good fight

plus, you normally can't bring all of your weight to bear for the battle, so massive numbers do you no good

plus they normally have some Rifle Inf, so that does a number to your arty, plus there arty

Hmmm, got Snookered, I am impressed with that move, I really like it

got hit from Ireland, of course, only a small army, but, it allows the English to call from Help from London, they lose and they march (run) back to London, I lose, I march to the sea, plus, they hit me before my troops moved, so I can't call for help

tip of the hat to the AI, that is a slick move

not going to work, but still, a good move

hmmmm

interesting, reading between the lines, he has a full Corps or Army, but no guns

if I can get close, fast, I can overpower him easy, just depends on how fast his reinforcements can get to the battle and what he brings

I may try to drag it out, in a long battle, I will wear him out and lower his total of troops for the real battle is to come

will have to see how it plays out, for how I work it

Prefect, 7 full Inf and one Cav, looks like at least two supply wagons

and I am pretty close, so going to try for a bull rush, and then stand still and let the reinforcements come in

main targets, as always, Guns, but what I am looking for is Rifle Inf, they get hammered as soon as they show

Guns and Rifles can hurt me

okay in case you are sure what i am saying or why I say prefect

he has 7 Inf, and one Cav, Cav is what can hurt your guns on the march, Inf can, but they take time, and you can normally set up to defend vs Inf

so, I will be able to rush up and deploy, before he really do anything to hurt me

(the AI likes Cav, and if you have guns, you have to close to battle at the speed of your slowess units (your Guns) or risk having them overran, or badly hurt)

beginning of the end, the English send a small Corps for reinforcements, they should of sent the whole Army

I have crushed the two Cav, he has hurt one of my Inf and shook up a couple of my Cav, but mine have done there job by locking the enemy inf into place

even though I did a poor job, I hurt them bad, over half of the troops that showed up, didn't leave again, but still could of done a better job of setting up the battle, to get what I wanted out of it

N. Ireland, leaves the English

figures, I think I am getting the battle I wanted, but with the wrong Army in place

made my moves, and the English moved south, and then I landed my reinforcements

so again, a 79,000 vs 124,000 men, but, when the English called for help, they called for a better unit for help, and not to be mean, but most of my troops are from Italy, not the same staying power as my northern brothers

the English losses are up to -15, while mine are -3, but I am breaking and they are not

I have two VH's, and the 3rd under fire, the new reinforcements for the English, have one of those VHs under fire also (all I got there is a wagon :)

I may have to call for help
