A pot of tea.  Typhoo, Yorkshire, 99, Darjeeling or Twinings English Breakfast.  If I've run out of milk I'll drink Rooibos.

I gave up pot when we had kids.

Funny, when we had twins, that's when I thought of taking it up...

Just kidding. They were 8 Monday, and have been the biggest blessing God has given us.

redcoat: Typhoo, and Yorkshire, good choice.  If I had to choose though I prefer Yorkshire.  Twinings English Breakfast is just not as smooth as Yorkshire.  I prefer a Scottish breakfast, Irish breakfast or a really strong East Frisian tea in the morning.

Try a Pu Erh.  It has a very earthy taste, dark muddy complexion, but very smooth without becoming bitter if you let it steep to long which makes it perfect for those long gaming sessions with JD.

Great thread...

It used to be water and cigarettes but I quit smoking so now it's just water.

The trouble with drinking tea during my gaming is that I also like to have a few biscuits. I always end up shaking the crumbs out of my keyboard.

I’ll keep my eyes open for Pu Erh. It is something else I could drink when I’m out of milk. I’d imagine that it would be good with a Chinese takeaway as well.

They are way past that age. They went through the drinking, pot, and cigs phase as teens though.

And I do remember Airplane.

Redcoat, agree with you, tea always goes better with something sweet.  Even at 55 my mother continues to bake chocolate chip cookies and send them over God bless her...

Try a little soy milk in the tea.  I find it is just as rich as milk, without the saturated fat (offset by the cookies), and has a much greater shelf life.

Actually maybe we need more information to answer the question acurately.

Would I be winning or losing the game at the time?

Of course what I happen to be drinking could be determing that as well and/or suddenly change the course of history.

            WATER

          COFFEE
                  ALCOHOL

I often work on a turn (WitP) at work in my car in between assignments, so that will be the water or gatoraid I carry everyday. If at home then its caffine free diet coke with peanuts or chips on the side. Sometimes a Maker's Mark on ice if I'm planning the destruction of Capt. Ed in the evening at home.

Since I don't want lung cancer next week, I don't smoke and never have.

edit for spelling errors found so far.
