You know, April fool's Day(it's not that far away, time flies) would be the perfect date to officially announce the entire AE project was a joke.

Do we get something from the development team today??

It is a historical date for two different years (1941 & 2007).

I've heard from a credible source that a few from the dev team are going to post a message today saying "Hi!"

That's about it.

It would be rather cruel of them to build up our hopes of a suprise release today with their persistant insistance that it wouldn't be released today only to not release it today so here I sit, credit card in hand, waiting..........any... minute... now......

Eh, nobody actually said anything about a release today. It's Sunday, after all...

Oh, and "Hi"...

Can't believe that anyone really expected that the WitP-AE would be released today...

IMHO it will be done when it is done... no hurry and no pressure...

HaHa,  it is still in development,   the prosess from Development to testing to adjusting to testing to actual Production is pritty far...
It will not be out untill Earlyest the Summer of 2009. I could imagine somone "official" could hint to it being 1 quater of 2009 at some point, and the "actual" meaning of that would then properbly be May/June 2009....   You know, the woolfs must be ceapt hungry..

You forgot to mention the other stages, like going from idea to concept, then developed concept.

I heard they've only made storyboards up to this point.

And the prize goes to Crimguy!!!

As has been said - but we will say it again - we had high hopes of releasing much sooner - but by roughly the end of June 2008 we realized to get the AI to "wake up" and "do our bidding" would require a re-write of the "AI Processor". This was completed by August and since then we have been "learning how to use it". I'd say that phase has mostly been done since about end of October. Then the issue was ensuring proper naval support for the AI scripts. As of the current build we "think" ("hope") that is mostly done. So, I'd say we are definitely in the "home stretch" - but - alas - not done yet.

Testing continues ....

Yes, you did. Your constant denials said it all.

<Conspiracy Theory Mode = ON>

Ah, yes. More disinformation. All part of Terminus' diabolical plan. We all know that denying something is to acknowledge it. No credible proof is proof positive. Lack of information is total information...

Well perhaps some full-motion video of Terminus roasting over an open pit would satisfy the hoards for a while?

So if I am reading between the lines correctly, AE should be ready by the anniversary of the Battle of Midway! Or perhaps Coral Sea....maybe even the Raid on Tokyo!

Actually I'm being facetious...it'll be ready when it is ready and I'm sure the devs will be more than happy to put this puppy to bed, if and when it's ready for said bed.
