HiHi

If you chaps need a reserve, I'll be downloading later today, but will be a comleeeet novice, never played CoG just FoF (Hi Celticid).

Just as a matter of interest can Nations be played by other folk if someone drops out during the game?

Anyhow powtwo@btinternet.com if you do end up needing another player.

All the Best
Peter

Sweden is a good one for new people but if you don't get a Sweden, it should not affect your ability to have a good PBEM session.

HiHi

Must admit after the thumping you gave me in FoF if I do get Sweden I shall have to mind my manners, being parked next to you as Russia and all :-)

But ... fraid I made a cock-up with the payment, ticked the wrong box (Bank instead of paypal) so gonna phone DR in the morning see if I can cancel the order already in and pay by paypal, else I will have to wait on the Bank clearing the payment etc before I can download, bummer.

All the Best
Peter

I could play Sweden instead of Ottaman depending on whats better for the game if we want to start now rather than wait for whoever.

As far as bidding for nations based on a Glory penalty thats an interesting idea.  I mainly wanted to play a smaller power as my first PBEM game so if I make major mistakes I dont mess up the power dynamic of the entire game.  But in future games would be cool to make competitive bids for the larger powers.

This would seem like it might have a balancing effect on the game as more ambitious skillful players would be willing to bid high penalties for the more powerful states and then serve to keep each other in check.

Sweden here if you have not started... has attended a course away from home. Back home again. If you have started I am in for another game. Saw that another thread had been created.

Let me know.

I have a couple questions about PBEM before I screw up in our game.

1.  Is combat resolved with instant or quick combat?

2.  Do I have to set "policies" in the PBEM tab or can/should I manage all these decisions myself if I choose not to enable advisors?

Thanks.

In the meantime sure I'll take your spot Cid if you wish, as a compleat newbie I would rather have had a smaller Nation than Russia (?? Sweden or Turkey want to swap ??) but I'll give it a go, nothing like being thrown in at the deep end!!

All the Best

Think France is out for the weekend or something.  I emailed him the other day letting him know we are all waiting on him hoping we could get a couple turns in over the weekend.  No response.

lenin, did you figure out some good opening moves for your navy? Not sure if you saw my post in there.

HiHi

Sorry about this folks but can I just confirm what we will be playing, if I have understood it. the Game is

1803 start.
Advanced Econ.
Over 12 years, Highest GP at end wins unless someone gets to 1000 GP before the 12 yrs are up.

That sound about right or have I got something wrong.

All the Best
