Hello,
I have had a good day today, got the day off of work and spent it with WAR.
I managed to get 3 full turns in today. And still going strong at 1.15am :)
I can’t help to wonder how does the AI perceive the strategic map.
I am surprised that KG Peiper didn’t move at all the last two turns (1 pm and now 1 am turn)
I also don’t understand why the AI wouldn’t disband a BG in order to get a better one on the map.
Now granted im abusing the settings with Line/Line (another topic someday) but looking at my current GC no German BG is even trying to advance.

Interestingly enough KG Fallois had plenty of units to fill all the open slots.
He just choose not to do so.But thats ok
He's no longer with us anymore.

I wish we could see what VL's each BG holds

Strange the BG not requestioning fron the FP... we're looking at that.

I am surprised they haven't disbanded themselves with those low FP levels.

On the Dasburg map the only VL the Allies held was the entering VL from Heinerscheid.
Gerry controled the map.(when I couldnt use the reinforce button)
I didnt think to save my file then or when I seen the same for a German BG a few turns ago.I just searched the forums and figured it was something I didnt know about CC.
At one point I was saving my file after every Battle 1.1 1.2 1.3 etc etc but soon it became a hassel because I couldnt ever remember what number I was on. (Duh)
Peiper finally moved this turn.
This is an unmodded WAR as far as Data goes,which is what surprises me that Gerry isnt trying move off the maps.?While he is bottled up I havent moved into enemy territory for the simple fact of deployment and lack of strength in my BG's.(for quite a few turns now too)
I've decided it's better for me to wait for him.

Thanks Platoon_Michael we have tracked it down.

The Code doesn't look for Team type 37 Light Half track(column F in the workbook) to fill vacant BG slots.

It will be fixed for the next patch.

Modders note:

Interim fix.

You cpould edit all instances of 37 in column F and change to 23  Vehicle Halftrack.  Then the light HT's Sdkfz 250's will be used as an alternative to the Sdlkz 251's

Still never got an answer on how the AI treats the strategic map.
Something I did notice though is that the reinforcements are only allowed when you own the VL thats next to the map that keeps you in supply.
I.E.
You cant enter a map like Ramschieid from the South and have an open VL from Losheim and expect supply.(The Bg at Ramscheid cant reinforce)

I'm also surprised at the German BG's that dont have any fighting force left.
theres still 15 days left

Seems to me the force pool could use some major adjustments.
15 days left and the Germans are pretty much toast?
The Line/Line (current GC) settings are not going to give anyone any real excitement to playing the game.And most likely a player would probably put the game on the shelf never to play again. :(

Glad I am not the only one too notice the force pool numbers. With 7 beta patch things went from worse to unplayable line vs line for the Germans.

Sorry if I blamed beta 7.

Example:

Line vs Line

Orginal game, BG 422/106ID.
Platoon Leader 17----->>>after patches 26
Rifle 27----->>>after patches 41
Bar 27----->>>after patches 41
Bazook 11----->>>after patches 17 (?)
.30 Cal 10----->>>after patches 15
60mm 10----->>>after patches 14 (are u kidding me)
81mm 3 ------>>>after patches 5
57 a/t 3 ------->>>after patches 5
.50Cal 2 ------>>>after patches 3
recon 1 ------>>>after patches 2 (would been nice to have had a few more)
eng 2 ------->>> after patches 3

This is just 1 example. When you play a GC you will see some units with like 35 bazooks teams in FP (why?). Add in fact most of these BGs can be reinforced, wow. Now had the game punished a BG for being surrounded and cut-off with a 50% loss from FP, I could live with these high numbers, and it would actually had thrown a bone to the Germans, plus woulda made the allied player think twice about leaving a BG on a map to long(at least in the beginning of the GC, same would then be said for the Germans later in GC when they go on the defensive, althou since they have a lot fewer units, by then (considering all losses attacking) even losing 50% from 15units in battle would be devastating).

All I can say is please dont modify the FP numbers in CCTLD like that with the new patches.

Gz...
