My opinion on the freeware: I think it's a good business decision. A small company needs to generate interest in its product to move forward. If people that are hesitant about paying $30 for a 2+ year old product can get it for free, and see how good it really is, they may be on board for a new version, which would help the projected revenue of the new version, which in turn covers development. My impression of sports simmers is that they aren't necessarily a one product exclusive. I've even gotten the newest version of Out of the Park, something I didn't think I would ever do. And I feel that there are a lot of people in that community that aren't even aware of Puresim, and they seem to be looking for something that gives good historical replays, which I feel Puresim excels at. I say the sooner it's free the better, and the sooner we can start converting OotPers to Puresim! :)
